Not spicy at all. People who do this are actually just amateurs. Anyone who has actually worked hard on games for a long time knows that *any* game is incredibly difficult to make and respects the craft. People who do this are real losers.

I'm lichen this!

Did you know there's a whole subsection of bluesky that's just people posting photos and information about lichen? Stuff like that feels like the old internet survives to some extent. (e.g. @lotuscat.bsky.social @fungiwithbengi.bsky.social @peterbraubach.bsky.social

You can despise someone's politics and also acknowledge a tragedy when children die. Children are not responsible for the actions of their parents and they don't "deserve" anything but love and care. If some gloat over people dying in the LA fires, doing the same thing makes you the same as them.

It's very funny to me that as an adult, I can't submit a chrome extension to Google called "Get fucked". I think it's an entirely descriptive phrase that perfectly encapsulates my sentiment. Anyway, you can always load stuff locally!

Meanwhile...

Rep. Steve Scalise says of proposed Medicaid cuts: "35-year-olds sitting at home playing video games, they're gonna now have to go get a job." "And by the way, that's a good thing for them — their mom doesn't want them sitting in the basement playing video games anyway."

People who argue that the law and ethics are the same thing really blow my mind. You don't need to be a history student at all, you just need to think of literally any time any group of people on earth were discriminated against legally based on the laws of the time. It's everywhere in history.

"X is just a distraction from Y" presumes that X and Y aren't equally as bad and equally as deserving of attention. If you "flood the zone" with enough bad stuff, then yeah, it's not possible to report on it all, but that's the actual problem, not that one is better or worse than the other.
