Political power is meant to be used to fight for the people you serve, not to line your own pockets and sell out millions of our tax dollars for a quick check.

I thought they and we already “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear capability at least twice. Oh, and they and we already toppled the regime once. If that didn’t work out the first time, what makes Bibi think it’ll work any better the second?

The two Roosevelt’s were seen as class traitors and had different approaches (Square Deal versus New Deal) but both saw a tide coming and, in their own way, saved capitalism in this country. Young people feel they’re getting a Raw Deal. I can’t blame them. Where are the class traitors today?

Everybody coming to the Town Hall, please ask Senator Roger “Stiltskin” Marshall if he ever considered taking the babies as payment. bsky.app/profile/roge...

www.texastribune.org/2026/09/14/b... OK so Bo French is a straight up white supremacist running for Texas Railroad Commissioner, which I gather is a springboard for statewide office in Texas. Who knew? I’ve seen some comments like — “well, now we know where Rove draws the line.”

What is driving Rove’s decision is that the GOP brand is in the tank and French is particularly odious. Rove’s access to GOP polling must be telling him French is likely to go down. Or that the Texas Railroad Commission is an easy place to virtue signal without any consequences.

Think of it as a version of Susan Collins’ “principled stance” votes, which coincidentally happened to occur when the GOP position was already safe.
Rove may think he has a place in a post Trump world as a strategist or something but he shouldn’t be anywhere near the electoral system.

But Rove isn’t coming out against Paxton because the race is still close and every seat is important for Republicans to retain control. He is first, last and always a partisan regardless of the consequences for America. What “conservative principles” are driving the announcement? Anti-racism?

Hardly, especially coming from the guy who engineered the 2000 McCain SC smear campaign suggesting the maverick fathered a child with a black woman out of wedlock. Classy. Or the 2004 Swift Boat smear campaign. Patriotic.

Or, “when you lose Karl Rove…” However, this is just lazy thinking. Rove is a hyper-partisan rat fu*ker extraordinaire. Right up there with Roger Stone. Rove didn’t somehow form a conscience or scruples over racism. He happily fomented culture wars and white grievance during the W Bush years.

If Rove had grown a conscience, he would also be endorsing Talarico over Paxton. Paxton is the most corrupt politician to run for high office since Donald Trump in all his elections. And, the Senate is far more important.

IMO, one in a number of actions recently by Hakeem Jeffries that are disqualifying for Speaker. First, the election’s still 2+ months away. Wait to see the margin of victory in the House and if Dems take the Senate. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/23/u...

nytimes.comJeffries and Kushner Meet Privately as Midterm Attacks FlyPresident Trump’s son-in-law and the man in line to be speaker of a Democratic-led House discussed how Democrats and the administration could work together.

2nd, what good will come from talking to anyone in this administration now let alone Kushner, who’s not even in the government. This is lousy deal making on Jeffries part. The only saving grace is that Kush is the worst negotiator to ever represent the US with the exception of his daddy-in-law.
