Before this, if you needed to customize a component beyond its properties — you had to detach it. Which means losing the connection to the main component and all future updates.

One thing I was careful about: not every layer should become a slot. Over-slotting turns a component system into a free-for-all. I kept slots only where flexibility actually makes sense.
