@bsky.app - two things the new ipad app needs: 1) pinch to zoom. 2) tap top of screen to scroll back to beginning. These are standard on ios. The app should have them just to maintain standard functionality. Please add them to the next version.

Just what everyone needs - a pushy salesman that follows you around all day every day, constantly trying to make that sale.

White Christianity has nothing to do with the teachings (good or otherwise) of Jesus; it’s about exclusivity, predestined supremacy, goodness achieved without having to pay, forgiveness by proxy, and the eternal punishment of everyone else for the crime of noncompliance. It’s a spiritual gated HOA.

I asked @sethtriggs.bsky.social for Peaches in a swimsuit that doesn't cover anything intimate. Which is actually something foozles will wear, when allowed to do so ^.^ (And, lets see if I can manage to not forget to upload these going forward!)

This isn’t intended as virtue signaling. This is me yelling at the world to clean up its act, because I live here too y‘know, and I‘m getting really tired of this shit.

I’m writing again. Even though I haven’t quite beat the first book into shape, I’m already working up the outline for the second book. But this should let me strip some exposition from the first book that felt awkwardly jammed in, and use it to establish a firmer plotline in the second.

Still tinkering with my Vanilla Fauxpaccino formula. Think I’ve nailed down the Folgers instant to liquid ratio: 1/2 teaspoon to 20oz of liquid. But now it feels like using all milk is throwing it off. Need to experiment with a water/milk mix which is what you’d get using brewed coffee. SCIENCE!

confession time again: I get annoyed when a Peanuts cartoon forgets that Peppermint Patty, Marcie, and Franklin live in a different neighborhood, and go to a different school. Also, when Linus, Lucy and Charlie Brown are shown in the same class. It’s like the writers didn’t pay attention at all

Currently reading: A Malady Of Magicks by Craig Shaw Gardner I have a dim memory of this series, from my teen years. Can't remember if I read it back then, or just saw it on a bookshelf somewhere. It's a delightfully goofy mixture of high fantasy tropes and Monty Python style absurdist comedy.

With the continuing boycott of everything starbucks going on, this morning I attempted to make my own vanilla frappuccino using milk, torani vanilla syrup and a single spoonful of folgers instant. It was mostly successful.

Got my combined flu shot and covid booster yesterday, and am now in the OW SOMEBODY PUNCHED ME IN THE ARM stage. I think they should give you a free donut and an oj like when you give blood, as compensation for this. And a good donut, too. From the good donut shop. Not some supermarket box donut

Lost Media: Back when I was doing my webcomic Evil Twin, and had set up a patreon for it, I created this big welcome comic to put on the patreon page as a pitch to get people to join it. Patreon quickly redesigned their entire website so the comic no longer fit the layout size requirements.

These were the spot art promoting the three membership levels, which were also lost when the site redesigned itself. I provide them here purely for the #foozles imagery they contain, and the commentary thereof:

I suppose I should tack this on, too - it's the header graphic from the patreon page, sized exactly to the specifications the site provided, and which were then also immediately changed during their redesign, so you only ever saw the top third of it.

To everyone who faved the posting I just deleted, sorry about that, but with no edit function, burning everything to the ground and starting over is the only recourse.

As a bonus incentive, I had actually created the award certificate in question, and made it available as a downloadable for those who signed up. And yes, my initial idea was to set patreon access at twenty five cents, a price so low the site forbade it as soon as they realized I'd done it.

Someone just left this sweet kitten on my doorstep, but I'm allergic! 😭 Does anyone in Brooklyn want to foster a kitten? Seems to be about 4 months old, clean and well-cared for, and very docile.

If we’re going to celebrate the legacy of an Italian historical figure today, I’d rather it be Chef Boyardee. Dude makes a damn fine Beefaroni. He had Michelin stars, y’know.

random question I have no answer for: Why is Kkingon Blood Wine red and not pink? Shouldn’t it look more like pepto-bismol than hawiian punch?

Just got an email which claims to be from @bsky.app telling me that my account is now labeled as SPAM because I did something it didn’t like. Am I actually labeled as SPAM or is this a fishing attempt?

Each pendulum swings at its own period and sings its own note, turning simple harmonic motion into a melody that rewrites itself every cycle before snapping back into sync.

Public Domain Art is the lifeblood of small tabletop rpgs, but it can be a nightmare trying to find the right art and license. This week, I’ve re-uploaded my old list from 2020 (with updates) of public domain websites. That's 500,000+ public domain paintings, photos, maps, and film. Link below 🔗👇

I somehow apparently forgot to post this. Huh. This is a Foozle Project entry from Sheep_do_art on VGen in their hatching style . A very fun Foozle! Check their Vgen page https://vgen.co/Sheep_do_art

The most recent entry in The Foozle Project, this blue cutie from https://inkbunny.net/Jigglypupy !  As always with these, I basically say 'draw a Foozle please' and link the wiki and get surprised. Delightfully so!

Early Edition, first season is about a newspaper that told the future, and the guy who it was delivered to, and his scheming comedy sidekick. Second season they dumped the comedy sidekick and replaced him with ANNOYING CHILD STAR WHO IS IN EVERY SCENE and It was cancelled soon after.

What TV show got so bad it effectively destroyed your appreciation for the show when it was was good?

Getting tired of so many anime with the premise: I was an unloved loser nobody until I died and woke up inside a videogame where I used my gamer knowledge to cheat my way to becoming world’s most powerful badass with my own harem of hot chicks. It’s kind of pathetic how many of these there are.

If the pope wants me to draw furry pornography then I will draw him all the furry pornography he can pay for, but it will be the most expensive furry pornography ever produced because I’ve seen photos of where that guy lives and I know he can afford to pay.

Kim Hu@kim-hu.com

I know most of you guys don't go on the other app but the pope posted an anti AI/ pro artists statement yesterday, and the ensuing cope and memes is really funny

Personal Gripe : I’ve seen a number of folks refer to commission requests they’ve made to artists as “prompts” and to me that just demonstrates how little regard there is for artists.

I wish Denny’s still existed. I got a sudden hankerin’ for a slice of pie and a cuppa coffee. Yes, I know they still exist someplace, BUT THAT’S NOT HERE.

Just saw this in a discord channel. I have no idea who the artist is, but if anyone does, feel free to link them in the comments. It was too good not to share tho:

The new work requirements for medicaid mean that even though I‘ve been earning money and paying taxes, I no longer make enough money to qualify. Let me repeat that: I am now considered too impoverished for government assistance.
