So, the survey is saying that the terfs that are the biggest boosters of the bans are also misogynistic pigs to boot? I am so surprised...well, not that surprised.

Samantha Brennan@samanthabrennan.bsky.social

A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

Flávio Bolsonaro refuses to concede after losing Brazil's presidential runoff to Lula. "It is impossible to acknowledge the election results. We will ask for the elections to be annulled."

In following pro wrestling back during the Monday Night Wars, there was a term for this kind of dislike. XPac Heat. I propose renaming this to Ted Cruz Heat because ol' Sean Waltman never got booed *this* bad.

FUCKING LOL. TED CRUZ GIVING OUT THE F1 TROPHY IN FUCKING TEXAS AND GETTING BOOED!

As we await the results in Brazil, some good news of seeing a RWNJ leader get taken down a few pegs at the polls.

The long-serving strongman leader of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has conceded defeat in an election that pitted him and his right-wing party against a diverse student-led opposition movement that spent two years protesting his government.

With the end of the regular season, we start seeing these reports come up...and they're never easy to take in, regardless of how ya feel about the club in question. A club's demise is something to never wish on a fan base. Here's to better days for the folks in Westchester and CC.

Alex Ashton of @leagueoneupdater.com with an in-depth look at the demise of Westchester and Corpus Christi as professional sides in USL1. It sucks to see teams go on hiatus or fold or whatever they want to call it. Sucks for the players, the staff and fans. leagueoneupdater.com/westchester-...

Bournemouth bullying Man Utd 3-0 at Old Trafford. Have to think Carrick is going to be updating his CV really really soon. However, I don't think this is just a managerial issue. Seems way more systemic IMO.

Anti-trans bigots are coming to NWSL games looking to provoke violence or other incidents that could go viral. This is the back-up plan: harass and endanger anyone who stands up to them. NWSL is going to have to contend with this. Kicking the can down the road will put too many fans at risk.

This post is unavailable.

Calling this incident disgusting is being way too kind. Hope the idiots enjoy their lifetime bans.

Regarding the discrimination protocol during RSL-St. Louis tonight: Timo Baumgartl says he alerted referee Drew Fischer after he saw a group in the stands "making monkey sounds" towards Fallou Fall. "We have to stand up for Fallou in that moment." "There's no place in the world for that."

A few moments later, Kyle Edwards crushed any hopes Oakland had.... Man is just a stone cold assassin late in matches.

How about a season coming down to the final 10 minutes of the final game of the campaign? Oakland Roots SC needs a goal - with a win, it's into the #USL-C Playoffs. If it doesn't, Phoenix Rising is in.

The rest of the West is extremely fluid as well. The other confirmed playoff clubs (Sacramento, Lexington, Colorado Springs, and Tulsa) can possibly move up or down as the night progresses. Bottom line is that we probably won't know the full picture here until very late tonight.

So, that's what at stake. Should be a very wild Saturday in this league. Personally, I'll be at the El Clamico (Hartford vs Rhode Island) tonight. Good luck to all (unless you're from the 401, then I hope it's not a good night on the pitch)...

Oakland could also trigger a wild scenario if they draw and both OC and Phoenix lose. You would then have 3 teams at 39 points and it would come down to tiebreakers for the 8. Right now, the tiebreakers look to favor OC in this from what the league standings indicate.

At the top of the West, nothing is really settled there as of yet. And, with the way the schedule is, it has the two clubs fighting for the top spot facing off. El Paso vs New Mexico for home field. An already intense derby with massive stakes added in. Fitting it's happening.

A win gets San Antonio in without any doubts & could jump them to 5th if Colorado Springs and Tulsa stumble. A draw would also be enough to get them into the playoffs as well. For OC, a win would lock up a playoff spot and possibly cause some chaos. Anything else and they're scoreboard watching.

For Phoenix, a win against Lexington gives them hope and if OC fails to win, they would jump into the playoffs. They could do it with a draw, but would need some help from San Antonio. Oakland has the tough road as they would need to win in Sacramento and have both OC and Phoenix fail to win.

Charleston & Detroit can possibly move between 2nd & 3rd, with Charleston holding the tiebreakers. Pittsburgh, RI, and Hartford can all finish anywhere between 5th & 7th depending on results. Hartford has the toughest task as it involves winning vs RI and PIT losing to move into 5th.

The West is way more chaotic as there's 4 clubs fighting for the final 2 spots. Right now, San Antonio & OC are in, with Phoenix and Oakland just outside. And it just so happens that San Antonio plays OC to close things out tonight...

The main drama in the East is for the final playoff spot. Right now, Miami holds it with 36 points. However, with the uneven number of clubs this year, they finished their season last week. Indy sits at 34 points and it's very simple for them. Win and you're in. Otherwise, Miami makes it.

It's wild that by some occurrence, I ended up getting anti Mike Rogers ads here in Connecticut on the Samsung TV streaming service. I know he's a turd and El-Sayed would be an easy call for me, but I'm not a Michigander.

Even though I'm pulling more for the Valkyries in the Final (4 UConn alums being the reason), nothing but respect to the Dream for calling this shithead's bluff...

Weird. It’s like he didn’t even want to watch the actual game!

It's becoming the "M&T Bank Center at Gampel Pavilion" Safe bet that most, if not all Huskies fans, are going to probably ignore all but the last 2 words in the new name when talking about it.

NEWS - The #USL today unveiled a new brand identity built around United for Soccer, reflecting the strength of the connected soccer system it has built and its ambition for the future of the game. www.uslsoccer.com/news_article...

So, as bad as it was for Hartford Athletic last night, all is not lost for a potential 4th place finish. It just needs the following to happen: - Louisville loses to both Jacksonville & Detroit. - Pittsburgh loses to Birmingham. - Hartford beats RI. Yeah, I know...

So... - Louisville City tore Indy apart 4-1. - Charleston downed Miami 2-1 - Tampa locks up the Shield with a 1-0 win over Detroit - Pittsburgh gets a late equalizer in Pawtucket - Hartford picks the worst time to mail one in against Brooklyn What does it mean in the USLC East?

- Tampa's the top seed the whole way - Charleston locks up a top 4 seed and sits at 2 - Detroit drops to 3rd - Lou City can lock up the last home seed on Wednesday - RI, Pittsburgh, and Hartford can all finish between 5th and 7th

As for that final playoff spot, thanks to Miami falling at Patriots Point, Indy (despite the slaughter at Lynn Family tonight) controls their own fate. A win and they're in. Anything else and Miami makes it. Not surprisingly, Miami are gonna be some of the biggest Charleston fans next Saturday.

Love getting a job offer that's too good to be true and turns out it was. Thankfully I didn't give any info out beyond anything that's public (address, phone number), but yeah, ghosting it.
