Hard to put down Bananza, but do have some remarks: - secrets are buried to randomly. In Zelda/Mario you always feel where something is hidden. - the terrain is maybe too malleable. Just walking makes stuff break everywher. It's intense. - feels more chaotic than the structured perfection of Mario

Sony and Microsoft closing studios and firing people left and right, and somehow some geniuses still insist that Nintendo is the bad actor for asking more reasonable hardware prices than Apple (which they kind of try to emulate at times), and pricing their games below a cinema experience.

I always thought it strange how Sony fans have created this nice guy gamer persona around Yoshida, while he was clearly one of the responsible parties for many of the terrible decisions Sony has taken.

Shuhei Yoshida: Japan Studio closed because the AA market disappeared: “Other than Gran Turismo, we had many great products but didn’t really have many AAA level successful products. That became more and more important as the big games became bigger" www.videogameschronicle.com/news/ps5-jap...

Playing Refantazio, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Life is Strange at the same time. LiS aside, both Refantazio and XC3 are great, but it's amazing how much more ambitious and technically competent Monolith is. Don't get me wrong, ReFa has incredible art menu design, but it's a relatively 'simple' game.
