HALFTIME: Arizona State 14, K-State 10. Jacob Knuth has been not bad! The run game has been stifled, though, and K-State's vaunted pass defense was somewhat abused. ASU's Mikey Keene was injured in the final minute of the half; if he can't return, big break for the Cats.

28-yard FG by Luis Rodriguez, and the good guys have the lead at halftime. K-State 18, Kanass 17. Casting an eye to the second half, the Cats have outgained KU 301-119, and failure to get in the end zone has cost the Cats 15 points.

Bad snap on a KU punt bounces out of the end zone, and that's two points for the Cats and they'll get the ball with some time to work. Kansas 17, K-State 15, 1:39 Q2

95-yard kickoff return for Bryson Hayes. Tied at 7, 13:04 Q1

Ladies and gentlemen, 2023-25 Avery Johnson has appeared Absolutely brain-dead interception at the Houston 10 to avoid a no-gain play. Houston 35, K-State 9, 11:09 Q4

2-yard TD pass to Patrick Overmeyer, his fourth TD catch of the day. Houston 35, K-State 9, 0:48 Q3 At least this game's moving right along, eh?

The first quarter ends with the ball in the air as a 29-yard Luis Rodriguez field goal gets the Cats on the board. Houston 7, K-State 3, end Q1.

K-State got a stop on fourth down at their own two-yard line. Problem? K-State had called timeout from the sideline before the snap. Houston scored on fourth down Mk II. Houston 7, K-State 0, 9:20 Q1

2-yard TD run for Rodney Fields, but a failed 2-point conversion. The Cats will obviously be attempting an onside kick here. Cincinnati 31, K-State 26, 1:15 Q4

Cincinnati scores twice in 2.5 minutes because the defense just blows and I don't want to talk about it right now Cincinnati 24, K-State 17, 7:26 Q3

With 15 seconds left in the half, K-State -- who get the ball back after the break -- retakes the lead on a 4-yard pass from Avery Johnson to Derrick Salley. Cincinnati almost blundered on the kickoff, but recovered. K-State 17, Cincinnati 10, halftime

Cincinnati responds immediately. 11- and 30-yard runs by Cole Tabb preceded a 39-yard touchdown pass from JC French to Malachi Henry. K-State 10, Cincinnati 7, 6:36 Q2
