The restriction of funding or outright banning of DEI offices & mandatory training perfectly echoes legislation passed in Red States like Florida, Texas & Utah. Premier Smith and her cabinet utilize similar language to US conservatives, arguing that DEI programs are "polarizing" rather than uniting.

Advocates and policymakers state that DEI frameworks are built to correct long-standing discrimination, exclusionary rules, and barriers tied to race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has historically challenged these arrangements, questioning whether heavily manicured golf courses genuinely qualify as conservation projects and whether the appraised values of the surrendered development rights were inflated.

The settlement agreement brokered in mid-2026 by AG Blanche to resolve Trump’s $10B privacy lawsuit against the IRS blocks audits on tax returns filed prior to May 19/26. It does not protect Trump from future tax filings. The IRS remains free to audit any new tax returns they file moving forward.

At least two men attending Trump’s rally in Ohio attacked a female protester in a “senseless” confrontation decried by the mayor of Youngstown. One in an adjustable baseball cap & a bald man in a dark T-shirt, put hands on a woman Monday during the GOP event inside Covelli Centre in Youngstown.

Not only is Trump unpopular, but so are his policies. That's why he is floating "gimmicks" such as $5,000 cheques for every adult if the Republicans retain power in the midterms.
