Sculpey over balled tinfoil, one good hand photographed twice and one pic flipped. Ears are Sculpey over cut-up paint samples. Hair is glued-on fur trimmed off the giant Halloween spider on the porch. Composited and colored in photoshop.

Today’s your last chance to order prints from this year’s Posters for Parks show — a massive THANK YOU to everyone who’s purchased a poster and supported Minneapolis parks!

I often describe the way I draw digitally as “purposefully making a big mess, then slowly cleaning it up.” Everything (size, placement, color, mark) is in a constant state of flux — drawn and redrawn until it feels correct in context with everything else.

So even when I’ve got a clear idea of where I’m headed, the path to get there is never straightforward. But I’ve found that being overly precious about preserving previous decisions creates a self-imposed feeling of pressure rather than a sense of play.

I feel the most creative when I purposefully prioritize curiosity over caution and experimentation over efficiency. If your goal is to make a mess, there’s no way you can mess up. (Procreate process steps from designing a two-color screen print for this year's Posters for Parks show 💛🩷🤎)

Posters for Parks prints are now available online, but act fast — many of this year’s designs have already sold out and all poster sales end this Saturday! “Passage” — two-color screen print on brown paper, 18”x24”, printed by Phenom Print Studio in Minneapolis, MN

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to yesterday’s Posters for Parks fundraiser — it was great to catch up with familiar faces from previous years and even better to make some new connections!

Today’s the day! Posters for Parks kicks off this afternoon from 2-6pm at Minnehaha Falls Regional Park — hope to see you there!

Signed, sealed, delivered — this new batch of posters is ready to go for tomorrow’s Posters for Parks show! It all kicks off on Saturday, October 10, 2-6pm, at Minnehaha Falls Regional Park. Hope to see you there!

Super stoked with how my Posters for Parks prints turned out and can’t wait to show them off this weekend — big thanks to Max Weber over at Phenom Print Studio for all the behind-the-scenes effort and expertise!

Sketch experiments for this year’s Posters for Parks print — This one started with a specific sunset-inspired color palette in mind, but no clear sense of what the final image would be… 🤔

I was proud to join MCAD teachers this afternoon in their fight for a fair contract that includes protections against AI and shared governance with the administration. As a former adjunct professor and @seiumn.bsky.social 284 member, I’ll always show up for workers!

Posters for Parks is just a week away! Here’s a little detail crop from my contribution to this year’s show, which features 42 limited-edition posters celebrating Minneapolis parks.

We've conjured up this series of witchcraft, hexes and demonology for this spooky season. Which film are you most excited about? @brianbritigan designed this poster, which is for sale at the Trylon box office and on our ko-fi store. Tickets and showtimes at www.trylon.org/film-series/...
