Here is a short, gushing review of The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. You've probably already read it. If you haven't, you should get on that.
Here is my brief summary of my thoughts after getting home from World Fantasy 2026.
While working the Waterdragon table at World Fantasy, I frequently asked people what their favorite book is, or their favorite author. I was so excited when someone answered Marina Lostetter (@marinalostetter.bsky.social).
Hey @arlozgraves.bsky.social I thought you should know someone came by the table to see if you had a sequel to Black Rose out. They talked about how they normally read a book and send it out, but they read Black Rose twice, they think it's incredible, and won't part with it.
Here is my write-up for day 1 of World Fantasy in Oakland.
Episode 5 of Write Something Good is out! This week is the start of a three part mini-series talking about what to write. Today, we focus on SciFi. In two weeks, we'll continue with Fantasy.
I'm not feeling very optimistic when it comes to digital gaming, going foward.
When I'm selling books at events, this is one of the authors I promote the most, because they wrote a cool weird western that did stuff I hadn't seen before, and they're storytelling is immaculate. They don't post much here yet, but if they had more reason to (hint, hint) they might entertain you.
Ya boi still has NO IDEA how to have anything seen on this app, but hey howdy anyway.
Here's a post about all the different tools I've used for writing, going in chronological order.
My latest post is what I've learned about selling books. This is mostly about selling books in person, but I have a section that talks a little bit about query letters and book summaries.
It's October 13th. I see a new video for Pentatonix is up. I love Pentatonix, so I click. I feel bamboozled. I had no intention to listen to Christmas music in the middle of October.
Here are a bunch of the thoughts I had about Lanterns. In short, I really, really liked it, and I hope to see more of it.
This is just to say, TERFs suck. There is no ethical way to consume Harry Potter media.
Episode 4 of Write Something Good is out. All the links are in this post on my blog. There's also a link in my header.
Gail Simone is a narc.
I don’t like to narc on strangers, but we went walking around Times Square and I may be misjudging but honestly, by the smell, I think SOMEONE in NYC may have been smoking a “doobie.” And he was tricky because he somehow got ahead of us on every street and corner and store and crosswalk.
Here is my book review of Building Baby Brother by Steven Radecki.

I'm participating in The Ultimate Blog Challenge this year. Here is the first post, with a list of prospective topics for this month. It also has the links for Write Something Good S1-E3, which went live on Wednesday last week. If you have any topics you'd like me to write about, let me know!
This is a strange request from me, but I'd like everyone to go to this Fat Bear voting thing and vote for 89 Backpack in Poll 2. explore.org/fat-bear-week

New episode of Write Something Good went live yesterday.
Today is Wednesday! Last night, I wrote a little about WorldCon. Last week, the first episode of Write Something Good went live. Tomorrow, I fly to Seattle for the WXR cruise. A week from now, the next episode of Write Something Good releases.
If you missed all the stuff about Write Something Good, here is a post. Already received some good feedback, which I'll incorporate starting with S1-E5.
