Great write up of a 2025 RFC that totally deprecates the BGP AS_SET path segment type. Explains what it is, why it causes security problems, and the ways that its removal enables RPKI on the entire AS_PATH. Interesting stuff. www.noction.com/blog/depreca...

It took a while but I just published a new blog post! The GlobalProtect Gateway Selection Algorithm Palo Alto Never Documented thisbridgeistheroot.com/blog/globalp...

So it would seem that The Pitt spent all of their budget on medical consultants and forgot to hire an IT consultant.

Now available: 3 #IPv6 Certification exams online, free tests, open book, challenging, fun! hoggnet.com/pages/ipv6-c...

Passed this yesterday and holy crap can I say these are some tough questions. Even with Google there’s some in here that make you think

This one was definitely a bit harder than the Bronze level. I definitely need to brush up on the non-NAT64 transition mechanisms. I’ve forgotten a lot of their details

FREE #IPv6 certification exams. The Bronze-level test is now available & should be easy if you've got some intro #IPv6 knowledge. Silver/Gold tests coming soon. hoggnet.com/pages/ipv6-c...

I wish Apple would introduce harsher penalties for apps that change notification categories or reclassify types of notifications to skirt user’s preferences and send spam. Reddit is the latest offender but Snapchat was guilty last week

Everyone complains about Apples updated photos app but I haven’t seen any complaints about their update to the calculator yet. I’m here to say it’s awful. They removed had swipe to backspace, and rotate to access the scientific mode. Both of which make the new one so much more annoying to use

Instagram has been serving me targeted ads for various fire trucks for the past couple of days, and I’ve gotta say, I had never considered my need for a fire truck until now but I think the ads are working

The winter solstice is in two days which is the day with the least daylight, however it’s not the earliest sunset of the year. That actually is in early December for most of the northern hemisphere. In Raleigh, for example, it was December 5th

The Reddit iPhone app seems to have become unusable lately. Randomly, it just seems to stop responding to clicks. I can scroll but can’t click pictures or into threads until I kill the process and reopen. Does this happen for anyone else?

I whipped up 3 quarts of eggnog tonight following the recipe that @aragusea.bsky.social shared. This is the third year in a row I’ve made this and it’s one of my favorite Christmas traditions now. Aging eggnog a few weeks certainly makes a difference. youtu.be/sflZWeCjdco?...

As a lifelong NC State fan, it was ok that UNC was good at basketball because at least Duke was there to temper them a little. But if UNC is good at basketball and football, the natural order of colleges is going to be majorly out of wack

My daughter and I had a fun morning today building a snow globe at the Home Depot. It was her first time using a hammer.

Kansas City is kind of a cool city. If you've got a couple of hours, the World War I museum is one of the best museums I've ever been to.

I just got a marketing email that if you take a Pearson Vue exam in December and fail, you can use the code VUECyberMondayRetake to retake the exam for free between Jan 1st and April 17th #CCNP #CCNA

Can I apply to be the F1 race director? Seems like it’s a pretty easy job to not do anything when there’s clearly safety concerns on track

Homemade condensed milk and some butternut squash in the oven for a pumpkin pie to be made later this week

I joined a gym yesterday and did an arm workout for the first time in forever and I can barely move my arms today. This is going to be a tough day

I wrote an article that goes over what happens to Cisco devices when their licenses expire, and how to know if you need to keep an eye on a particular platform. Hope you enjoy! liamkeegan.medium.com/what-happens... #Cisco #Networking
