I swear the job of anyone DevOps adjacent nowadays is just reading and understanding badly formatted or templated config languages. It's miserable

Good post by @brig.gs leebriggs.co.uk/blog/2024/12.... My $0.02 - DevRel done excellently certainly has intangibles that are beneficial. But they are measurable. To me, more than anything, the issue was that we got the order twisted - folks became individually famous and used that to drive product

A truly remarkable read, and a glimmer of hope for world politics that such a sensitive, difficult topic can be treated with such class and dignity in a political setting

It is possible to build Tailscale in a weekend. We did that and have been debugging it ever since.

interesting to see it called "from the archives" when its like a huge part of their marketing strategy to convince people that they can't just build the same thing themselves in a weekend (the anti-dropbox-hn-comment pill) . also its linked on the footer . very good article though

Anyone who tries to claim American food is better than British food should be forced to eat an entire serving of that sweet potato/marshmallow monstrosity constantly server up for thanksgiving

Well this is awesome, opened my bluesky feed and it's like Twitter was 5 years ago, without all the ads and vile opinions

I really wanted Blue Sky to grab my attention like the bird site, but don't seem to get much value, I think primarily because I curated my feed for years. Any tips on how to find/discover people that can help?

Is there any decent way of curating my bluesky feed yet? The only thing I miss from twitter is having spent 10ish years following people I care about.

You are up to date.
