Still thinking about 20 mins into yoga class when the lady next to me - who by absolutely no means was nailing the poses any better than me - whispered a suggestion on my form. Uh, mind your own practice, toots.

Remember the 10th or so time you found yourself watching an LA friend's LA webseries about how crazy and stupid LA 20-somethings are? That’s about what watching Rachel Sennott’s I Love LA feels like.

I have a great idea for a story that could work as a novel or as a screenplay. Trouble is, novels take a long time to write, and as a screenplay it’s basically “Harry and the Hendersons”

oh GREAT, I've been tinkering with this screenplay for years, but a sitting president posting a clunky A.I. video of himself wearing a king crown flying a fighter jet and shitting huge messy turds all over peacefully protesting citizens of his country COMPLETELY steps on my idea.

At the end of Shakespeare in Love (1998), the play-within-the-play asks "Where is my lord? Where is Romeo?" and Imelda Staunton from the crowd lets out an anguished, spontaneous "DEAD!"

It completely nails the sense of tragic surprise R&J's very first audience must have felt. I'm guessing Chloe Zhao's #HAMNET is going to be this moment, but feature-length.

So it's clear Joel Coen got all the talent in the breakup with Ethan, but I had MONEY on Benny being the talented one in the Safdie's divorce. Bravo, Josh, you won, you beautiful bastard!

Years ago "hot mess" carried a more cheeky connotation (I'm game to put up with that "mess" because they are smokin' hot). But now it's the most abysmal, icky descriptor imaginable, as a result of global warming.

Back watching Rami Malek’s The Amateur now! It sucks!

It is with a stoic mien and a brave sense of sacrifice that I let go of possibly half-watching Rami Malek’s The Amateur on Hulu. #CancelDisney+

Gotta say, you step away from your account on Elon Musk's X for a month, two months. Pop back for a peek, and that shit is algorithmically HONED, perfect. Every joke, every news tidbit, exactly what Briggsy wants. Your morning is SET.

As history marches on, will there some day be an actor who doesn’t connect to Kevin Bacon within six degrees? And will that trigger the singularity? And did it already happen unbeknownst to us?

This is a wonderful tribute; a smart, deeply felt tribute—personal, perceptive, and worthy of Greenberg’s brilliance.
