Been thinking Leafs should experiment with a spread out three lines when Tavares returns. Cowan-AM-Roslovic March-Paul-Willy McKenna-JT-Sissons You can shelter JT/McK and match them against bottom lines a bit more. The top six has been cooking and while Paul as 2C isn't ideal, it's been working.

#Leafs prospect Brody Pepoy is having himself a game. A short handed goal and two snipes, one after some slick dangles, and he is up to 6 goals and 9 points in 9 games so far this season. He's quickly become a favourite of mine.

Gord Miller and Mike Johnson with TSN are by far and away the best PBP team in hockey and I will hear no arguments otherwise. I know I've said this before here but by god I'll say it again. They're such a joy to have on for a good hockey game.

I both like and respect them because they're guys who a) know hockey, b) do not favour either team and can be objectively critical or praising where either is earned, and most importantly c) actually sound like they enjoy the sport when something cool happens.

#Leafs prospect Yaroslav Fedoseyev with his first goal of the season in the KHL today, a nice shot from just beyond the inside hashmarks. He has two points on the season, and has seen his ice time ticking up of late.

FINALLY! I haven't been able to make any posts here for the past three days... first I thought it was just videos, only noticed tonight it was any post even I tried to bitch about the video problem here and even that didn't work.

#Leafs prospect Tinus Luc Koblar (#94) with a primary assist in his 2nd straight game of the season, playing 18:15 on the top line as a winger. It would be nice to see him getting that much time and success at center but I don't hate him getting this much time in a role he can focus on his offense.

#Leafs prospect Nick Moldenhauer with a slick spin move off the boards, earns himself a primary assist after causing some chaos in front for his first point in his first NCAA game of the season.

So nice, he did it twice! This one was a nice deflection by Will Belle (#8 in white) for his second of the game.

#Leafs prospect Will Belle scores in his first NCAA game of the season, albeit an exhibition game against the US NTDP junior squad. Still, he scored one goal in all of last year so he's already starting off on the right foot!

#Leafs prospect Tyler Hopkins continues his torrid start to the season, ripping the wrist shot past the goalie for the powerplay goal. He has 2 goals and 4 assists in just his 3rd game of the year.

#Leafs prospect Alexander Bilecki (#89 in blue) started tonight pretty rough, but had assists on the tying goal with under 30 seconds in the game and was all over the ice (seen below) to set up the overtime winner to complete the 3-0 comeback.

#Leafs prospect Harry Nansi gets a lucky bounce off an attempt to saucer a pass into the slot, instead it bounces off a defender and into the net for his second goal and third point of the game.

#Leafs prospect, a favourite of mine coming into this year, shows off his dance skills to enter the zone, draw the defenders and slip the pass to a streaking teammate for the goal. He has a point in all three games in the OHL to start the season.

My newest son in the Leafs prospect pool, Alexander Bilecki, opened the OHL preseason on Kitchener's top pair, had two primary assists, was on the ice for all three of their goals and none against. I really think he's going to have a huge year now that he's The Guy.

Two of Toronto's prospects have been named to their respective country's World Junior Summer Showcase roster: Juuso Ainasto is one of three goalies Finland is bringing Tyler Hopkins is the surprise invite for Canada

This USA vs Belgium game is crazy. The great and glorious USA managed to score goal on the actual field, but then after that Belgium was weirdly awarded with three on the scoreboard from mail in goals after the half? Suspicious.

Re-watching the scrimmage from earlier today and the Bilecki (#37) and Fedoseyev (#61) pairing for Blue was so fun. I know I know scrimmage-ass defense and all, but it was against White's top pairing and top line. Their combined mobility, puck movement was just beautiful at times.
