Dog wisdom of the day!

Doggo update: Coral is healing well. She’s back to eating & finally having bowel movements. Opal was a HERO yesterday! Cat came in the clinic needing a blood transfusion from flea anemia. Opal was a good boy, donated blood, & the cat is doing well today (although prognosis is guarded still).

Coral had emergency surgery yesterday. May be due to a bad bag of food. X-rays looked like a foreign body, but ended up being very angry & inflamed intestines. Meds, rest, & recovery. Hopefully she’ll be back to normal soon! Much love to my doctors and vet tech coworkers at #NorthridgeAnimalClinic

Went to the Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience yesterday…walked around the dog-friendly event, went to the makeshift #dogpark to swim and run, got some grub from the food truck, before passing out with Coral! Good day spent #outside Few events are dog friendly so we always try to make them

Finally finished up the floor on the #RustedPup! Went on our inaugural trip to #RockyForkSP with my brother and his dog. #Dogs are still trying to adjust to the new space but overall a success! #vanlife

Sometimes being a “Good Samaritan” leaves you with no good choices…devastatingly I hit and killed a mastiff with my van. Assume financial responsibility at the vet for emergency trauma…risk getting sued for euthanizing someone else’s pet…face owners wrath for killing their dog they left unleashed.

A great breakdown of how our understanding of biology and gender evolves the further we actually study it.

Coral decided I wasn’t paying enough attention to her & ate a PAIR of socks, which were vomited up 🤦🏼‍♂️ With the heat, I decided to focus on the #dogs instead of #RustedPup. Went to a doggy #splashpad then to the dog park connected to it in #TippCityOH. Afterwards, we walked in a local river for a bit

Took the afternoon to spend with the #dogs Went to a dog park, did some fishing, and walked around a couple different parks. Nice day out just ahead of the incoming weather #dogsofbluesky

Kilmat is FINALLY fully installed in the #RustedPup. The step, doors, walls, wheel wells, and ceiling all got covered up. Might do a second layer on my wheel wells, not sure yet. Next is the start of the floor. #Vanlife #Vanbuild

America could learn from others…instead they drag their knuckles screaming “we’re the best in the world” Other countries have figured out to cover parking lots, Americans argue over whether to legalize covering fields…

Spent all morning laying down Kilmat, took a nap, then went over to my uncles for a family cookout. Took the dogs and they were surprised to see my uncles dog there! Ran around for 5 hrs & now they’re out cold #playdate #dogsofbluesky #vanlife

April & May recap…MetroParks of different counties, state parks, dog parks, my uncles house, & city walks. Even though it’s warming up, we didn’t get out too much. Been looking for a van to live out of…rent is unreachable even at $20/hr. Found one at a great deal! #DogsofBlueSky #hiking #vanlife

Took the #dogs to a couple MetroParks in #DaytonOH yesterday while there was a break in the weather. Spent most of the first park walking near water before meandering around the gardens at the second park. #dogsofbluesky

Busy day for the kiddos! Opal got his grinch feet trimmed, went to the laundromat, both dogs got a bath at a pet wash, walked around Second Saturdays in #Urbana, and stopped by my uncles house. Within minutes of being home, PASSED OUT! #dogsofbluesky
