I had a great time at the witchy craft show this weekend! A bunch of Void Decks found new homes, as did dozens of prints and I left with a smile from all the lovely people, bunch of ideas – and this incredible moss agate pillar 😍

Ok so I ran out of pavers but it was a gorgeous day to roll around in the fire pit gravel and I’m ✨obsessed✨ with how this upgrade is turning out. I just wish I’d done better math so we could have a fire tonight.

I accidentally laid my upper arm(?!?) in wet superglue and now I’m unacceptably sticky. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated in this difficult time.

I love weeping willows. On a related note, I finished another #painting. What do you think? Acrylic on canvas. Forgive the glare, the sealant is still wet. #Artsky

I had a market tonight, and it was cool but a little disappointing. In the era of trying to find new ways to make additional income to offset the cost of living and take some pressure off my 9to5 to support my health it’s really tough to encounter new things that I can’t do. 🧵 #AuDHD

This is totally a me problem, but I’m disappointed. There’s a lot of cool night events that I’d love to attend or offer my work at, but I always struggle with this sensory stuff and end up unwell. So between that and not selling enough to really make it worth it, it feels like a closed door.

We still had a great time. I met some lovely people and got to share my art and it was positively received. I also sold a surprising number of Dungeon Crawler Carl prints and made some more local connections! I’m grateful… but will be in my room for the foreseeable future.

First, absolutely no shade to the organizers it was a fun time and the venue was cool and the vibes were great. But there were a couple things that leave me a little bummed. I didn’t make much, but that’s ok it was a great experience and at least I pretty much broke even.

The bigger problem for me was the noise in the last hour or so. The venue had a DJ which we expected, but then the volume went way up. The room became a night club, and without enough bodies to muffle it I got really overstimulated. I even had to step out a few times feeling lightheaded and shaky.

If I could go ONE DAY without oversharing and word-barfing all over coworkers, family and the like I would be so excited I’d probably start telling random strangers about it.

I was setting up for some quiet time in my room with my crochet when my 8yo popped in and then RAN to get her project to join me. We sat in my bed and crocheted for over an hour together and it was ✨wonderful✨ (Look! She’s really getting the hang of it!)

Some nights you’ve got it, some nights you don’t. But at least I’ve got a lovely space to curl up and crochet in after disappointing myself in the studio 😅

I am *nowhere near done* but I am already obsessed with my Baba Yaga Chicken-Legged Hut build! I got the main structure and basic design done this weekend so now I get to add details until the hyperfixation bug is satisfied and releases me like a fattened tick off a deer.

Only one person on earth knows what it’s like to have me for a sister, but y’all can have a little taste. Whether that’s a gift or a punishment comes down to whatever you feel you deserve I guess.

I’m working on a model of Baba Yaga’s Hut and my 8yo just asked me how “Lady Gaga’s Chicken House” was going and I think that’s its name forever now.

More pictures from last night’s #eclipse. We did wake the kids up to see it - as they requested every night this week - and neither one remembers it 😂

I wasn’t a fan of my 20’s. There was so much stress and discomfort figuring out what I wanted and who I was going to be as an adult. Now, the same could be said of the 2020’s. The world is a mess, but we’re also deciding what we want as a society… our 30’s could be epic if we get this right.

We’re getting Coney Island tonight so I’m having French Toast for dinner and this is exciting enough for me to share my giddiness with the internet.

Our local comic book store has been stocking the original choose your own adventure books so we grabbed a few. They’re so fun: Tonight 8yo read ‘The Magic of the Unicorn’ for the first time and got to an ending where she broke both her legs, but she’s eager to try again 🥰

This one took SO LONG!!! I think I started the Better World Dress (pattern by sharkotea on insta) over a year ago? I kept taking breaks and of course made it super difficult on myself with the gradient but I think it was worth it. We’ll find out for sure once it dries… #crochet
