Seeing some of my fave "big-name" artists on BSKY joking that they might have to stoop to making erotic art to make a living has me miffed. Erotic art has A) been artistic subject matter in all time periods and cultures, and B) Erotic artists are ALWAYS at the front of threats against the arts.

The first time I saw Rocky Horror I was attending an anime convention dressed femme. Apparently it was a yearly tradition and the room host saw me dressed like this and decided I had to be a part of the experience. It was theatre kid queer camp and I was there for every minute of it and loved it

I had not experienced it before and every moment was befuddling magic. Spoons and bread thrown at the TV, responses from the audience! But also I felt -accepted- and a part of something participating in the queer antics. Now, 15 years later I see how to the cis-straight we're all Dr Franknfurter.
