I saw this photo randomly (via @ericidle.bsky.social) on here. The cover of the 1966 World Cup Final. Not only does it have Wales on the cover, but we’re massive! Much bigger than the country is on a true map. And we weren’t even playing! Shame I can’t remember the result - barely gets mentioned.

This probably going to be *the* gig of next summer in Cardiff.

Breaking: a lad from Tenby I used to work with establishes that at least some of the Mabinogi might well have actually be true!!

28 goals in 8 games, fucking disastrous campaign. No criticism of the squad because not sure the strength in depth is possible at all but it's gonna be long couple years for sure. Might be time to look elsewhere for some ideas though, Matty Jones seems completely lost.

A really disappointing result last night. We didn’t look like scoring and to lose a game because of a mistake is galling.

Buzz@buzzboncath.bsky.social

A point tonight would be tidy. 3 points tonight would be amazing! ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Normally for a qualifying campaign draw, I have a mental checklist: Please, nit England Please, not Scotland Please, not RoI or NI And FFS, give us & Belgium a rest! This time, we can’t be drawn with 3 of those (we can still get NI!), but now there’s another country it would be better to avoid!

I’m even more glad we’ve moved the date of our Dŵ Nadolig now!

Really good performance last night, our back 4 all had great games, our midfield were excellent and our front line was energetic & committed. Bellamy likes to rotate & believes in horses for courses, but I liked the look of that starting XI last night. Neco is surely the first name on the teamsheet

Buzz@buzzboncath.bsky.social

He and Ben Davies did a great job with Haarland. He really doesn’t run at all, and they made him run back and forth all night. I thought JJ & Amps marshalled Odegard well too - he was back amongst their centre backs to get on the ball at times. Obvs the man advantage helped, but a strong performance

Not sure that there’s masses to take from that. No lack of effort from the boys and we got the ball in the net. It’s tough at the top.

We’ve done well to go in level there! But we are and if we can keep it 0-0, there’s always a chance we could pinch it.

Loving that the Swansea Junior Football League u12 Cup has taken precedence over the Cymru Prem games in the Cymru Football app this lunch time. Hard lines to Maltsers Sport u12s tho, on a tough loss at home, but shake it off & you will be able to concentrate on the league now, girls & boys💪

Feels like we could’ve (should’ve, maybe?) got a point last night. My expectations were low, but that was a creditable performance away against decent opposition.

I was digging Ward out for that, but it’s the deflection that takes it just beyond him. Portugal hadn’t really threatened before that. Bollocks!
