Apparently Toxicon is publishing what appear to be 100% AI-generated manuscripts now (both text and figures). Extremely disappointing and frankly embarrassing. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

New paper now online at @molbioevol.bsky.social! We used capped-small RNA-seq to identify enhancers involved in regulating adipose gene expression during bear hibernation, and explore non-coding evolution across bears. Happy to finally have this out! doi.org/10.1093/molb...

Bummed to miss #Evol2026. For all those students looking for a position, we're recruiting MS students (polyploid genomics) and a PostDoc (conservation genomics) for next year. Shoot me an email!

New paper! Evolution of barriers to gene flow in rattlesnake speciation. Congrats to Keaka, Drew, and a big list of awesome collaborators! www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

@tywooldr.bsky.social et al. present assemblies for three bear species — the sun, sloth, and Andean bears — and use a whole-genome alignment of all bear species and other carnivores to reconstruct the evolution of Ursidae. 🔗 doi.org/10.1093/gbe/evaf188 #genome #evolution
