I'm quite shocked to see a user-space Rust scheduler (rustland) competing and, in some cases, even outperforming other BPF or in-kernel schedulers. Big shoutout to the @cachyos.org community for constantly running all these benchmarks! It's great motivation to keep improving!
@greeklug will provide a presentation on Saturday about CachyOS! They will do an introduction into CachyOS and the benefits it provides. At the end of the presentation, we will be also available for a Q&A Session www.greeklug.gr/el/activitie...

I've really been enjoying @cachyos.org If you don't go the immutable route, this is a very promising forward-thinking distro, and an example of what Linux should be in 2025. For example, the default kernel is compiled with clang and can take advantage of modern security improvements.
The CachyOS Team wishes you all a merry christmas and nice holidays! We wrote a Recap of 2024 - feel free to check it out! cachyos.org/blog/2024-ch...

Wow, this is a really big achievement. Thank you for benchmarking, Michael! We are going to proceed to improve the performance further of CachyOS - recently we have also rolled out the AutoFDO optimized kernel as default.
Arch Linux Based CachyOS Takes The Lead On Intel Arrow Lake - https://www.phoronix.com/review/intel-arrowlake-cachyos
Today we have rolled out the default kernel to be optimized out of the box with #AutoFDO. AutoFDO is a PGO like optimization technique and should improve the performance of the kernel between 1-2% across most workloads. #CachyOS #performance #powwwweeer Read more here: cachyos.org/blog/2411-ke...
