#24 - Knife + Heart Gorgeous, gritty, and often very funny. The film's dreaminess and sexiness makes the murdering that much more jarring. I was surprised by Paradis as well. Content warning for SAs turned murders and SA with rightful emotional fall out #hooptober #hooptoberxiii

Genuinely I don't know that it comes across to people who haven't been here to watch how almost unbelievable this was, just people taking something that looked impossible and dragging it kicking and screaming all the way to inevitability.

Still vote for both but yes this

haunts city marxist@butterfinger.bsky.social

Just saw someone on Threads say “Vote your Bottoms Ossoff” which is 1. Not anything at all and 2. The perfect encapsulation of how Neolibs need their ideology packed into little nursery rhymes so they can remember them through a Xanax haze

#21 - Blackula I'm so delighted to finally watch this movie & to discover the following - sick fashions, queers, song breaks, and Blackula's retractable fangs & muttonchops! Plus an interesting story & solid acting. Come through, Mamuwalde! #hooptober #hooptoberxiii

#17 Wolfen Loved the fantastic shots of old grimy NYC and seeing a young, intense Olmos wolfing out on the beach. There are a lot of interesting ideas in this movie that ultimately don't really come together very well #hooptober #hooptoberxiii

#14 Death Screams I've never been more certain that a porn was being filmed concurrently w the same cast & sets. But still it's boring. Half a star to the actress who was channeling Mama from Mama's Family #hooptober #hooptoberxiii

#15 The Cured This is a thoughtful and somber Irish movie about what happens when zombies are cured and integrated back into society. The performances and well built tension make this an interesting watch. #hooptober #hooptoberxiii

#11 The Devil Bat Brief but memorable mostly due to Bela Lugosi's extreme joy at wearing fancy goggles and fiddling around with a huge stuffed bat! Running time padded by minutes long sections of Lugosi happily watching his bat get zapped by radiation. Campy fun! #hooptober #hooptoberxiii

#8 Drive-In Massacre There's a sword wielding mainiac killing folks at the drive-in where the manager, in a purple turtleneck & giant cross, yells about "wangbangers". On the other hand, the story shifts to a whole other less appealing direction halfway. Overall it's trashy, trippy fun! #hooptober

#9 Cold Storage Despite a few confusing bits of timeline/infection tracing, this is a solid dark horror comedy. Neeson is particularly funny. Not quite as sharp as Slither but definitely in the same vein! #hooptober #hooptoberxiii #hooptober13

McDonald's Tripple Ripple (1971-1974): A blend of real, premium, chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice creams, packed into a sugar cone--"the ice cream goes all the way to the bottom!", per a press release--that came frozen and pre-packed. But the story (and lawsuit) behind it is a wild ride! A 🧵

#5 Eaten Alive (no pic for this turd) Most of the characters were brutal & gross in a way that made me actively rooted for them to be killed by the crocodile. Half a star for the swamp electronica score only! #hooptober #hooptoberxiii #hooptober13

#2 - Bit Lot of promise- queer LA vampires exacting justice on shitty guys in an attempt to eradicate mens rights behaviors. Midway, we get treated to Duke's freaked out, psychedelic flashback and the story starts falling apart. Its fun overall but could have been revolutionary #hooptoberxiii

#1 - Curse II: The Bite Applause for the sound guy who always made sure we could hear those birds chirping. In every frame. The whole movie until... well you know! Best "stay away from the snakes"/ the protagonists ignore snake warnings/ snake bite consequences movie I've ever seen!

"Bluesky is dying" bro you're talking about a website full of 38 year olds who have fringe political beliefs and listen to black metal bands with >1000 listeners on spotify, nobody here cares about popularity
