📣Virtual demo for #cleanair and medical care for #PAIS + #ME/CFS! Beth Dobbin recently gave a very powerful interview. We support her demands. Write to Andy Burnham and your local representative! Despite many promises, ME care remains inadequate! 📣 #CallForPublicHealthAction

ThereForME@thereforme.bsky.social

Beth Dobbin has written to Andy Burnham to ask for increased funding for ME research. We are working with her to amplify her message, and you can help (if capacity allows). Write to your MP to back her call - to make things easier, we have a template for you. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

This virtual demo for #cleanair and medical care for #PAIS + #ME/CFS continues! Even though we're too sick and too tired of society's indifference. We try to hold up our protest signs here every weekend. Join us, share this post, or write your own post using our hashtag: #CallForPublicHealthAction!

Today marks the two-year anniversary of the #CallForPublicHealthAction demonstration. A big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our message during this time ❤️ Let’s keep going and hope that, by next year, some of the items on our list will have become a reality.

The above is one of the reasons we demand an improved response to the current public health crisis. Do you agree with these goals? 👇 Support by liking, sharing or quote-posting, adding the #CallForPublicHealthAction hashtag 💕 It’s time to make these things happen!

On this #LongCOVIDAwarenessDay we think of those whose lives have been changed beyond recognition by COVID -- those who are invisible and absent from society because they cannot leave their beds or homes. Please give them your support today. #LongCOVIDAwareness #CallForPublicHealthAction

📢 #CallForPublicHealthAction Given the general state of the world today, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless. But by voicing our opinions, we can support those who are too ill to protest and ask for help themselves -- and we *can* make a difference if we're loud enough.

Initiatives like this are so important. When the WHO and national health agencies fail to act on clear scientific evidence, it falls on the public and independent experts to push for change. Now let's hope the WHO listens and acts. #COVIDisairborne #CallForPublicHealthAction

The World Health Network’s open letter to WHO, signed by over 2,300, calls for respirator use as the standard in healthcare to protect patients and staff. Read here: whn.global/a-call-for-t... The letter emerged from work initiated through the Unpolitics meeting last year.

Indeed, there is still work to be done. Funnier comedians aren't on our requirement list a priori, but we do care about science-based public education about COVID and masks -- and if that education reaches Jon, he might become funnier too. #OneOfTheTwo #CallForPublicHealthAction

📢 #CallForPublicHealthAction We demonstrate every week for an improved response to the current public health crisis -- because, among other things, society can't afford to ignore long COVID 👇 The longer we wait, the more expensive it will become.

Economic burden of long COVID: macroeconomic, cost-of-illness and microeconomic impacts Published: 21 November 2025 Long COVID affects an estimated 36% globally, creating a huge economic burden: about $1 trillion a year worldwide, roughly $9,000 per US patient and $170 billion in lost US earnings.

Viruses that appear to cause only “mild” acute illness can nevertheless result in severe chronic conditions years later. Numerous examples of this demonstrate the need for greatly increased efforts in prevention and biomedical research. 📢 #CallForPublicHealthAction med.stanford.edu/news/all-new...

Another Saturday, another 📢 #CallForPublicHealthAction! We continue demonstrating online for an improved response to the current public health crisis, because every day people die or develop infection-associated chronic illness due to a virus that we very much have the tools to control.

📢 Similar fights have been fought and won before, and we’ll achieve this with COVID too — sooner or later. Sooner would be much better than later, though, so let’s speak out, get loud, and 📢 #CallForPublicHealthAction, because #CovidIsNotOver!

Well, it doesn't have to be like this. This is a choice we're making by not cleaning the indoor air or informing the public about the need for infection control. Moreover, these numbers also mean a new, year-round baseline of chronic illness. This is not sustainable! #CallForPublicHealthAction

Yale researchers analyzed data from 158 million US workers and found that even after the pandemic, COVID-19 continues to raise work absences by 13% and labor force exits by 13%. The virus has created a new year-round baseline similar to flu season. jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...

📢 #CallForPublicHealthAction It's totally unacceptable that the risks of repeat infections are known, and yet pretty much nothing is done to protect children. Make your voice heard — demand an improved response to the ongoing public health crisis.

📢 #CallForPublicHealthAction Acknowledging healthy indoor air as a human right is a huge step in the right direction! 🙏 Above this, we just need a few other things 😉👇

Dr. Lucky Tran@luckytran.com

Yesterday, history happened at the UN: For the first time hundreds of orgs signed a global pledge declaring that healthy indoor air is a human right. Healthy indoor air is a key tool for preventing pandemics, building climate resilience, and increasing health equity. We need it everywhere!

📢 #CallForPublicHealthAction Authorities are still letting the public down by telling people to wash their hands instead of filtering the air. This is why we keep demonstrating for a scientifically sound response to the current public health crisis. #COVIDisAirborne

1. I was at my local pharmacy this morning to pick up a prescription, and as I walked up to the counter, I immediately noticed that the elderly woman in front of me in the queue was wearing a blue surgical mask. She was adjusting it, pulling it up over her nose.

Do you believe it's important for kids to attend school? Then help make schools safe places to be. In parliament, the air is clean — this needs to be a priority for schools and other workplaces, too. #CallForPublicHealthAction! 📢 #CovidIsNotOver #COVIDisAirborne
