good idea to eyedrop colors directly from your ref images, but I gotta be honest... since the visitor has All The Colors, I really didn't want to pick them all manually lmao

I widened her face a couple of times, but is it still too narrow in this? 🤔 that's always been one of the trickiest part of a side profile imo (especially when drawing someone wearing a mask)

I finished it cause I spent way too long on the roses in her hair to leave it incomplete, lol

the reason I've been doing so many dark/shadowy images lately is because I've been really trying to learn lighting better, this image is my attempt at tackling midtones as opposed to just very stark light/shadows 🥴👍

I've been nudging these lil prongs around for the last 10 minutes and by god I'll be nudging em around for the NEXT 10 minutes too, I am determined to make this thing look correct!!!!

I tell myself "stop using the gouache brushes, there are so many others to choose from" but do I stop using the gouache brushes? absolutely not

lyrics are from dive by twice - has nothing to do with the art at all, its just been stuck in my head all day

I have no idea if this style looks good or not but this dagoth was fun to do, still debating on adding simple colors or not tho

idk I just kinda like this scratchy ink brush, it's pretty fun to use 🙂

I want this to be a very shadow-y piece like the ludwig I drew, so I tried to make the anatomy as accurate as possible in order to later draw the shadows correctly... but most of it is going to be in shadow anyway so most of the details here are going to be lost :') aint that always how it goes

I'm copying my ref image as closely as possible this time, I WILL draw him on-model some day

I just love how much of a ragtag group the blades are in morrowind ☺️ the whole "secret order of dedicated guards" you see in tes4/5 is fun too but I just really like the idea that it is just A Bunch Of Dudes who happen to work together

couldn't tell you the last time I drew kirch in something sleeveless lol, his shoulders feel so foreign

the idea is that malvarai tries to fight the gods and loses, and verlot is SUCH a fan of that level of audacity that he happily takes care of malvarai after the fact

started off just as lineless practice & new brush testing, I didn't expect it to accidentally become eye practice in the middle but that's painting for ya

if anyone has any tutorials or tips on painting eyes pls send them my way, these are placeholder for now

I also hope this will also be good digital art practice for me, I'm getting used to the process of drawing on a tablet but am still familiarizing myself with the art program itself - who knew there were so many types of layer modes to choose from??

I don't know much about chiikawa, I just wanted to doodle something silly and this meme came to mind cause I thought sotha sil would look funny with the chiikawa face

didn't want to copy the inspirations either, I wanted to make my own thing! I know it doesn't make as much sense to be using a tower shield with a big ol sword as opposed to a poking-style weapon, but just IMAGINE him swinging both those things around! the intimidation factor is through the roof!!
