🗣️ We are the nurses, the mighty mighty nurses. 🪧 Fighting for patients AND our democracy! We won't stand for Trump's escalating attacks on our voting rights. We need free and fair elections so we can take on the billionaire class and improve our patients’ lives.

The Trump administration has crossed countless red lines in their effort to consolidate power and suppress dissent. Nurses will be watching the midterms to make sure he doesn't cross any more. Kaiser: Stand with us and demand a free and fair election!

Central Coast nurses sprang into action today to denounce the presence of ICE around Natividad Medical Center and Watsonville Community Hospital. We are demanding that our employers refuse to cooperate with ICE and that ICE gets out of our communities for good!

California nurses are taking action to defend our democracy and protect our voices, starting with a special visit to Prime Healthcare's HQ… (Yes, those are golden toilet seats. And yes, the toilets in Prime CEO Prem Reddy's home really are gold-plated.)

ICYMI: Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 1979 into law, ensuring our greedy employers and their tech billionaire friends cannot use A.I. to replace the clinical judgment of licensed health care professionals. This is a huge win for safe care. 👏 👏 👏

kqed.orgNewsom Signs Slate of AI Workplace Laws, Barring ‘Robo Bosses' and Surveillance | KQEDThe package of new labor-backed California laws limits how employers use AI and strengthens worker protections.

Nurses > A.I. 👏👏👏 This victory was powered by union nurse activism: Organizing, testifying before committees, rallying at the Capitol, sharing our stories, and calling legislators across the state. Thank you! YOU are what democracy looks like.

🚨 BREAKING 🚨 More than 1,000 California union nurses just won a massive victory against Kaiser's wage theft. The violations date back to at least 2021, and the payout could total tens of millions of dollars. When we fight, we win!

Thousands of nurses and taking over the streets of San Francisco and marching on ICE's detention center to protest Palantir tech in our communities and to demand our public resources go toward the benefit of working people.

CNA President Cathy Kennedy, RN calls for union nurses to take a bold stance in the fight against the current fascist takeover. We're excited to move forward, grow our numbers, and increase our militancy to new heights!

Prime Healthcare endangers patients and nurses by putting profits above all else. California nurses at Prime facilities on sympathy strike today were out to send a message: Prime's unjust retaliation against patient advocates will not be tolerated!

‼️Prime Healthcare has suspended or fired dozens of nurses ‼️ all for speaking up for our patients. Redding and Anaheim nurses are on sympathy strike today and standing with our colleagues. Our message to Prime: Reinstate the fired and suspended nurses and stop the retaliation!

Prime Healthcare's CEO, Prem Reddy, has no problem saying the quiet part out loud. This kind of profit-first mentality is responsible for unsafe staffing, missed breaks, and patients waiting too long for the care they need. Union nurses will not remain silent.

RNs canvassed the Brentwood & Laguna Beach neighborhoods where Prime Healthcare CEO Prem Reddy has homes. We're making sure neighbors know who they're living next to: A man who sees health care as a commodity, patients as profit centers, & retaliates against RNs who speak out.

Billionaires and millionaires did not give us the right to organize, the 8‑hour work day, a 40‑hour work week, child labor laws, or a minimum wage. Workers did that! This Labor Day, we honor the victories that built our country and the fights that are still being waged. ✊

Redding nurses are on strike for better patient care at Prime Health’s Shasta Regional Medical Center. Over 2,200 Prime Healthcare nurses and health care workers across three states are striking today for a fair contract and safe patient care! #RNStrike

Kaiser is constantly trying to cut staff and threatens to implement untested, unregulated A.I. in our facility. That’s unacceptable for us as nurses, and it endangers our patients and their care. Roseville nurses are sounding the alarm on Kaiser. #PatientsNotProfits

Nurses joined the picket line today outside of Kaiser’s LAMC, Oakland, and San Francisco hospitals to make sure Kaiser understands we mean business. Kaiser makes billions. We know they can afford a contract that puts patients first!

From Palo Alto to Los Angeles, hundreds of RNs, patients, and community allies mobilized to condemn Palantir's role supporting ICE kidnappings and imprisonment. Our demand is clear: Hospitals and elected officials must immediately cut ties with the A.I. giant!

Palantir's A.I.-powered surveillance and data analysis fuels ICE murders, mass deportation & detention, and illegal wars and genocide abroad. Nurses mobilized in L.A. outside of Thiel Capital to shine a light on these horrors. This kind of evil has no place in our communities!

At CommonSpirit facilities across CA, management is trying to justify layoffs of critical support staff as "efficiency." But nurses at St. Joseph rallied today to expose the truth: It’s corporate greed dressed up as a budget decision, and it puts patients at a huge safety risk!

Nurses are already being asked to do more and more with fewer resources so that executives can keep their bonuses. The nurses at Glendale Memorial Hospital are demanding CommonSpirit management put patients before profits and rescind the layoffs or critical support staff!

Perfect example of execs cutting staff to turn a profit while our patients suffer: CommonSpirit is laying off critical support staff at St. Joseph's Medical Center. When we asked who would cover the work, management said "the nurses will do it." 😡 bit.ly/4hMWQyd
