If you're looking towards those that must navigate the hellhole you and your peers ushered into existence for pity rather than burning down the infrastructure that keeps us down and redistributing the wealth... You may have lost the whole point of your prior activism and become the problem yourself

Did one (1) shift at a casino as a server, had a stroke scare the next morning then they wouldn't return my calls. They didn't even send me a paycheck or a W2.

Half of the reason that people become interested in movies in the first place is sex and dating and everything connected with eroticism on the screen. I felt that not to deal with all of that in its most naked form was to shirk part of what's involved in being a critic. (2001)

Hey God if you're hitting people who turned 80 and appeared in movies and turned into a household name... I may have a suggestion for the last of the rule of 3s. And everyone would forgive the first two.

Republicans are in power: Rs pass their agenda, Ds are the minority so are powerless to stop it. Democrats are in power: Ds can't pass their agenda, Rs are the minority and using their minority power to block it. Republicans are in power: Rs pass their agenda, Ds are the minority so are powerless-

US TRANS FRIENDS: Drop your gofundmes, venmos, whatever ways of supporting you you have, in the replies. Then go make sure you have plans with loved ones to deal with the worst. I love you all. We will get thru it CIS PEOPLE: Go through the replies and donate money to someone. Then reskeet.

If you're willing to sacrifice trans people to prevent fascism, then you haven't prevented fascism - you've just forced it into a form that you will tolerate and vote for.

My bad video game habit is playing the first hour or so of something until I get past all the tutorials, deciding I'm not in the mood to play it right now and setting it aside, then coming back months later and not remembering anything I learned in the tutorials but being too stubborn to replay them

just got possibly the best news ever: the "new" VP of Operations, who was 100% creating a hostile work environment and I was just trying to find evidence of anti-trans discrimination, has apparently *quit*. Now to convince them that I can do her job.

me, right after waking up: *stumbles to the bathroom before getting dressed* my dog: I knew it. The walk was a lie. You never intended to walk me. Mother, I cannot live with this betrayal. You are terrible, mother.

me, fully dressed, leash in hand: ok do you wanna go for a walk? dog: *stares in dejected betrayal* me: *puts the harness on anyway* ok, let's go! dog: *stare* me: you have got to be kidding me.

oh cool the top of my foot is cramping. so much for doing my job today, thanks hormones. wonder how my conservative boss would react if I said I had to go early because my period was making it too difficult to work.

Sigh. Pretty sure I'm dealing with a hostile work environment, and this is just not the time for that kind of stress in my life. Literally constant anxiety about getting another email from her and how demeaning it's going to be this time.

Figures that for my first time back to the Renaissance Faire in 5 years that I would almost faint. Kinda forgot that I hadn't had a lot of food when I was laced into my bodice, and on top of that it was my first time actually wearing a bodice, and yeah my body wasn't happy with that.

At least I didn't pay full price for the ticket, and I got to see most of the people that I got along with previously, even if they sometimes didn't recognize me. Granted, this is what I looked like the last time I was at the faire...

so yeah this is my "i finally gave up on twitter" post. but gonna actually, you know, try to be personable in this one. i'm a nerdy trans girl that kinda does coding, definitely does gaming, and sometimes talks about adhd or hearing loss. oh, i realized i was trans @ 34 and now i'm close to 40 🫠

You are up to date.
