I certainly learned some things last year about the Medicaid renewal process! This year I called the social worker to find out when Mom can reapply & we did it online. The paper application (again) arrived on the day it was due, a full month after it was supposedly mailed! #Eldercare #Caregiving

Caregiving is unbelievably difficult, Adam is having a hard time juggling all the responsibilities. Insulin prescription issue kept him hopping! In addition to Mom, her cat Lucy Rose has to have surgery this week. I admire that he keeps a positive outlook. #caregiving #caregiversupport #positivity

CareCoordinate 2.4.2 is available now! We enhanced it to add approximate pet age and Microchip registration info. This info also prints on the #caregiver Emergency Sheet so it’s there when it’s needed.

Paying Mom’s ADT bill is a nightmare! Adam is stressed out #caregiving AND Mom’s beloved cat Lucy has a lump on her belly, has to go to the vet today. That invites dark thoughts for all, right on the heels of losing Smidge. And how do we tell Mom? People do not understand this is a full time job.

Watching my 86 year old Mom grieve the loss of a family pet has been hard. Of course I’m guessing the thoughts she’s having about her own mortality. This was a difficult weekend for my family; we had to say goodbye to a feline family member, Smidge. My sister's family adopted her 20 years ago & we all loved her so much. End of life care for our pets is so hard, fraught with difficult decisions. Share your grief - others understand #petgrief
