Cari Hunter

Hallo to anyone who's found me here! I've been writing sapphic crime/thrillers for 10+ years. I'm a frontline paramedic which means I swear a lot, I'm always knackered and I'm bad at working to deadlines. My cats are dreadful, and I love sheep and mountains and muddy hikes. That about covers it!

Seems like loads of folks are jumping off Shitter's sinking ship and onto here. Hallooooo! TBF, I'm far livelier over on Threads (mainly because I enjoy talking about random stuff!) where I'm also well, Cari Hunter. But I wanted to say hi to new followers 👋👋

This kicked 2024 off to a very nice start.

Ah, the lesser known B side #queer #wlw #happytobeanatheist #gaystuff #cantdancetoit

Positive vibes nonetheless.

Me, every time I get a shitty review... #WLW #Sapphic #author stuff #uk crime author

Moody weather, moody crime and Nicki Vincent's dulcet northern tones, what's not to love?

Just written a scene so sweet and festive, I'm going to have to have a lie down in a cool, dark room, then probably murder someone in the next chapter. #WLW fiction #crime writing #author stuff #not a romance writer #REALLY not a romance writer #sapphic

Good riddance, you vile flesh wasting piece of crap. How long now till we can get rid of the rest of your mates?

Oh fuck off Goodreads. If you genuinely gave a damn about "authenticity" of reviews and ratings you'd have binned off Charles and his 7000+ 1 star ratings of WLW books years ago. * WLW fiction * Sapphic fiction * tossers who need binning

With spookily perfect timing, my freebie codes for the fabulous audio version of ‘A Calculated Risk’ are now mine! I have ten codes available for either Audible US or UK ONLY. If you want to enter say BOO! in the comments or ‘like’ this post. Closing date for entries is 12pm GMT, 2nd Nov.

That Home Depot/milkshake analogy is going to live absolutely rent-free in my head forever.

Aimed for mushroom omelette. Missed. #fooddisasters #tastedgoodtho #betteratwritingthanmakingomelettes

Never before have I been reviewed by someone literally driving a car. High risk stakes! Did she like the book (yes!) Will she crash the car...not telling.

Me: "I will definitely write all the words today!" Also me... 🤦 #sapphic #amnotreallywriting #butishouldbewriting #jigidiisaddictive #wlw

I like to think I'm reasonably brave, but I will never be brave enough to try this 😆

I'm going to sneak "huppeldepup" into one of my books or die trying.

Heads up, audio lovers! 'A Calculated Risk', narrated by the fabulous Nicola Vincent, is now available for your ears. I worked closely with Nicki as she recorded it, proofing alongside her, so I know she's done a bloody brilliant job 😍 #WLW, Sapphic books, Audio books, UK crime authors

And furthermore, reading the one star review quoted below lets you know that if you’re interested in reading a fantasy novel that includes gay marriage & a lesbian protag, David’s The Bladed Faith has got you covered!

The other downside to writing long-hand 🤦 Sapphic fiction, WLW, cats are knobs

Sue Perkins on the new series of Taskmaster might just be the greatest thing ever.

It is out! Now available everywhere that sells books/kindles etc. And pls ignore any stupid cancellation emails you may have had from Amazon. They're utter muppets. But you will need to re-order anything they've mucked up (sorry!)🤦

Ha! I have sneaked in here. There goes the bloody neighbourhood, eh?
