11/5/24:AMERICA! Seriously, WTF?! Economy, health care, your 401K, savings, paycheck, etc 🙄 NONE of that will be ok if an anti-American tyrant is POTUS. NOTHING is more important than rights! NO rights are protected if ALL aren't protected.

Ok, was reading on X the night of the plane crash and have been stuck over there since then. I lost 6 brain cells doing that and at least 4 of those brain cells were very good ones! I locked my account back up, now to catch up on the world I've been avoiding.

Evidently most American women are more afraid to fight for their rights than to lose their rights. Women went to the voting booth and GAVE THEIR RIGHTS AWAY. Voting isn't even a battle. It hasn't been that long since women stood up. www.brennancenter.org/our-work/res...

I find that the vast majority of people don't realize that women couldn't have a bank account w/o a man signing. Even my mom (Trump supporter) didn't know because she was married young and didn't support the ERA anyway. There are a lot of women alive today that were alive when the law changed.

This is our population breakdown. Look how many people are over 60. Why do more people not know that women couldn't open a bank account or get credit until 1974?? We need to be teaching the younger generations about this. Young girls and women need to know our RECENT past. /end t.ly/l7H-r

Anyone that wants to take away any of your rights, will take all of them. Yes, body autonomy is a right and right now, men have body autonomy and women do not. Do younger women think their rights in this country are safe? Because if they do, mom's haven't been teaching their daughters the truth.

I know stories of women protesting in the 70s for their right to simply have a bank account, loan or a mortgage, without a man signing. Our mothers/grandmothers were the protesters. It was only one generation ago (50 yrs) and we aren't talking about it or teaching our daughters/granddaughters.

All states still have not adopted the ERA. It was in 1960 when women won the right to have a bank account.. 64 years ago. It wasn't until 1974 that women could open a bank acct, get a credit card, loan, etc without a man signing. ONLY 50 years ago. It could change easily. t.ly/eoHGb

Why in God's name do women think that can't be taken away? The ERA isn't enshrined in the Constitution, only about 38 states have adopted it. The Equal Credit Opportunity Act can be done away with by a simple majority vote and signed by Trump. Evidently many women would vote to kill it.

You are up to date.
