Flathub banned LLM-generated projects, with an exception for “mature, well-maintained projects.” Then they accepted Kopuz, whose website looks like a textbook LLM-generated one-pager. Meanwhile, DAW Project Manager has 766 commits and 8 stars. Very consistent policy enforcement.

Twitch probably has the worst interface I've ever seen, and they're trying to take measures to block adblockers and VOD downloads. Thank god there are projects like yt-dlp, which btw don't just work on YouTube. Thank me later.

all good, I like talking about build systems I will say, the "dendritic pattern" stuff... kind of irks me. it's a ton of added complexity for seemingly no benefit over using nixos modules the regular way (which is still not an ideal design, but it's simpler)

It is just insane to me to decide what type of operating system to use based on how well games will run instead of personal preferences, workflow, by it's community etc. With that said, I only use NixOS as a shell for my actual operating system, Emacs!
