I know it’s not a surprise, but TikTok is suppressing Charlie Kirk/Jimmy Fallon discourse in an incredibly blatant, nearly unbelievable way (if it weren’t so fucking believable).

I think Ketanji Brown Jackson's dissents are an important exception to the "Supreme Court dissents don't matter" rule of thumb, because she is using them not to argue with the conservative justices, but to explain to the public that the conservative justices are liars and in the tank for Trump

ballsandstrikes.orgKetanji Brown Jackson Is Telling the Truth About the Supreme CourtThe task of interpreting the law is inherently “political.” But no justice has been this comfortable saying so in public.

This has been beyond the pale for a long time but I can’t tell you just how bad Trump 2.0 has been for the average American worker. We are going back in time in the worst way. Enjoy your coal mines, I guess.

The entirety of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health was wiped out last night in a form letter sent by RFK Jr. NIOSH is an agency in the CDC that investigates workplace hazards and finds solutions. It protects workers, so it’s gone. Even firefighters.

"The left went too far" in contemporary U.S. politics is almost always a lie and a very convenient way to rationalize moral failure. For example, "MeToo went too far" replaces "I do not care about sexual violence or its victims and I don't want to have to even feel bad about that"

Lawyers are socialized to advocate only in court, only for a client, only within the system, and only to advance the rule of law. When the rule of law is being overrun and the system dismantled, isn’t it time to speak out? Science has seen a surge of activism—where’s the wave of lawyer activism?

An efficient facism does not require much direct state violence. It merely requires the assurance that private violence aligned with the desires of the regime will go unpunished.

This is the sort of thing you do when a dictator is rising to power. Just FYI.

The $1 million donations came gradually — and then all at once. Meta. Amazon. OpenAI’s Sam Altman. Each of these Silicon Valley companies or their leaders promised to support President-elect Trump’s inaugural committee with seven-figure checks over the past week.

Wray missed the “do not obey in advance” memo.

so i, too, am mad at biden about his failures around clemency, but what angers me is that he has shown virtually no mercy, a stinginess that has morphed into cruelty. MORE clemency. more clemency all the time. more pardons. more commutations. more mercy. more mercy. more mercy.

As the leftist preppers collectively melt down on socials, it’s fun to see how many wild ~solutions~ they come up with before ever even thinking the word “strike”. Like, staying home is in my DNA apparently. Why reinvent the wheel?

You are up to date.
