Hey @f4mi.bsky.social is there a reason you don't comment on the EU stuff on this site? A lot of the politically loud folk on our side of the pond have left the other site, voluntarily or not.
Sometimes I do wonder how well it comes across that me joking on about how nothing good has ever happened to me is making the best of a bad situation. Why nothing good ever happens to me is an aspect of my disability between me and my doctors, but people sure find it difficult to believe that.
Still, seeking help doesn't make help possible. I do hint at having had multiple major surgeries, so it's fair to say every possible road has been well-explored by very expensive professionals, and I got the "nothing left to do" years ago, so a random dude online ain't figuring any of it out.
Important part of life, accepting there are fights you cannot win, things you can't fix, people you can't solve. All the odds say I'll be the same kind of miserable in ten years from now, because I was ten years ago too. Some people understand that's not by choice, and those are the people I like.
does anyone have that video of the muppets scene where kermit is looking at the fake kermit in the mirror but it has metallic madness bad future over it
sweet jesus but I suspect Musk and his DOGE boys are so dumb they think a probationary employee means 'employee punished for misdeeds' like the way convicted criminals get probation, and not 'employee hired less than a year ago' ie talented younger new people, who are pretty fucking important in IT
I'm doing research on Direct File at the moment, and DOGE people at IRS did not understand that they were firing the best tech talent *because all of those were probationary.*
We still don't have a good number of how many people were purged and under what conditions. Fells like we should know that.
