Thank you @cllr_sam_parrott I am thrilled to have your endorsement. You are a leading councillor in Sussex tackling Violence Against Women and Young Girls issues, as part of your work (VAWG).

By the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone. 🌹🤝 Agree? Vote Kerry Postlewhite, Cat Arnold, Jovan Owusu-Nepaul and Cllr Elizabeth Dennis for Labour's NEC. Watch our campaign video to find out more 📺👇

Thanks @thebeckofbeyond, I am incredibly proud to have your support. As we see increasingly international: defence, environmental and humanitarian challenges present themselves, we must work closer across them with our European and International partners.

I want to dedicate #IWD love to #VirginiaGiuffre. I'm reading #Nobody'sGirl which is shocking and gruelling, but important that I read her journey, telling others of it. Her bravery, unearthed the world's biggest international trafficking ring, which is quickly unravelling. Peace & respect Virginia💔

Time that L2Win project left the stage, so that we can instill democracy and integrity to our party via NEC and NPF. Please nominate Mainstream candidates through your Labour Groups and at CLP. If they are due to nominate soon, please let us know. Thanks Cat!

A statement from Mainstream's Interim Council on the departure of Morgan McSweeney from Number 10.

Hi, I wanted to make clear, contrary to some press reports, not all NEC members made the permission decision yesterday re: @andyburnham.bsky.social. It was just officers who voter (9 of ten). I would have voted for Andy Burnham to be able to stand, he's one of our best chances of beating Reform.

Thank you @annblack.bsky.social you have been such a wonderful guide and a real inspiration to me outside of the NEC and now within. I trully appreciate your support. Best wishes for your well earned retirement. You really deserve it.

A sad day for the Party to be losing such a revered figure from the front lines. Hopefully Party members will heed Ann's support for Cat, Jovan and Kerry for the NEC elections, who are endorsed by Mainstream.

Thrilled to be standing with these formidable candidates for Labour Party's NEC. Please do get in contact if you have any questions and let us/we know when your NEC nomination meetings are. Thanks Cat

🌹📢 Introducing your 2026 Mainstream candidates for the NEC! Thank you to our members for participating in our ballot and voting to endorse a strong team of determined, progressive candidates for Labour's NEC. This year, let's reconnect Labour with its mainstream.

Absolutely agree, we have to go after the dark money that fuels the far right, polarising agenda too.

💯 “It’s so clear that we need a new system, fit for the 21st century, and the conversation amongst MPs is shifting from "if" to "when" and "how". As a first step the Government should set up a National Commission on Electoral Reform” 🌹 @alexsobel.co.uk #Labour4PR

Fabulous to be out for the Ashdown and Conquest by-election in Hastings, with the team from @HastingsandRyeLabourParty for their wonderful candidate #AmandaPollard. Some great support for Amanda, lots of people loved her NHS credentials. The by-election is on 20th November 2025. 🌹

As a proud @unison.org.uk member, I’m really grateful for this nomination. UNISON members are the backbone of our public services. As Mayor, I’ll always stand up for public service workers and fight for the fair pay, respect and conditions they deserve. Thank you!

Thank you Brighton Kemptown & Peacehaven CLP for your nomination. I'm grateful for the support of members who gave up their Friday night to participate. Together, we can build a vision of a more inclusive and better connected Sussex that delivers the positive change our communities want to see.

Yesterday really was a "Super Thursday"! Thank you to every single member who turned up and nominated a candidate to be their Labour candidate for Sussex Mayor. I'm truly honoured to have received a nomination from all six CLPs who chose to nominate yesterday.

It shows we're building a campaign that can reach across Sussex. I'm determined to harness that energy as we go forward to make the bold case for Labour next May. There's still a long way to go in this contest and we won't be complacent. Thank you again for the support. We go forward together.

But I know they're also home to many inequalities, where many services have been slowly disappearing over the years. With a Labour Mayor, we'll have a chance to change that.

Thank you Disability Labour for your endorsement. A fair Sussex must be an accessible Sussex, where disabled people can live, work, travel and thrive with dignity and independence. As Mayor, inclusion across all fields will be a priority in every decision I make.

Dai and I have been working together for several years to tackle food poverty in Adur — through both the Shoreham and Adur Community Foodbank, which Dai organises, and the Adur Community Café.

As Deputy General Secretary of Prospect, Dai represented members across science, engineering, and technology — exactly the kinds of specialist jobs Sussex is uniquely placed to create more of. I’m honoured to have his support in this campaign.

I’m really pleased to have the support of the Arun District Council Labour Group. In joint control of the council, Labour councillors in Arun are showing the real difference Labour can make in local government by delivering for residents, improving local services, and standing up opportunity.

Their work embodies what our movement is all about: collaboration, community, and positive change. Together, we can take that same spirit right across Sussex and deliver for the people and places the Conservatives have left behind.

I’m truly grateful to have the endorsement of Leslie Clarke, former Brighton & Hove Labour Group councillor and CEO of Pride Community Foundation. Sussex’s strength lies in our diversity. In the people & communities who make this region such a vibrant, compassionate and creative place to live.

My campaign for Sussex Mayor is about bringing our movement together. From our coast to our countryside, we can build a Sussex that’s greener, more inclusive and prouder of who we are. Together, we can make sure every voice in Sussex is heard and every community can thrive. 🌹🌈

I'm really honoured to have the support of Lundy Mackenzie, chair of Young Labour South East. Lundy was a driving influence in reinvigorating Young Labour, turning it into a campaigning force that helped secure Labour wins across Sussex and beyond, locally and in last year’s General Election.

Thank you so much to members of Mid Sussex CLP for your nomination. I’m proud to be receiving the support of members across Sussex. Our villages and market towns deserve to have leadership that will listen, include and deliver for them.

Thank you Bognor Regis & Littlehampton Labour Party for your nomination. I'm grateful to the members backing our campaign. Together, we'll raise Sussex's voice and be a model for how local leadership, backed by national ambition, can deliver real change for our communities.

I'm delighted to have the support of Bognor Regis & Littlehampton Labour Party Cllr Michelle White. The waiting list for family-sized homes in Sussex is years long, in some councils it would take nearly 20 years to clear the backlog.

Like Michelle, I want to see Sussex building new, high-quality social homes as a priority. But building those homes can't sit in a vacuum. New homes must be backed by reliable transport, schools and health services.

Sussex risks becoming the "squashed middle child" of England unless we bridge the gaps between our communities, invest in our regional infrastructure, and make our voice impossible to ignore.
