My plan was dropped by VCU Health. I prefer it for all my medical care. New plan required for 2027.

I seriously hope people are checking their part d plans during Medicare open enrollment!

My focus in graduate school was surface design but I also had to be able to weave. One experience of dressing a loom convinced me I never wanted to do THAT again. #VCU #Design

I kept wondering how the teeny, tiny bits of fabric could not simply shred from use.

Drone debris falls on Kyiv like steel rain. The mayor keeps us informed about the damage it causes. We pretend we have umbrellas to hide under. Saturday evening. Drone attack again. I look out of the window to check whether it’s raining or not.

One of the half-human, half-deer headdresses from the important Mesolithic site at Star Carr in North Yorkshire. Dating to around 9000 BC, over 30 headdresses have been found at the site. This example is part of the collections at the British Museum. 📸 My own #Mesolithic #StarCarr

I knew about the men of the Bauhaus well before any of the women who taught or were students there. I first saw this tapestry by Stölzl as a tiny image in a book. Even in that format I found it inspiring. #ArtSky #Textile #Tapestry

I always found Abdul El-Sayed’s podcasts about Public Health to be very informative. I have no doubt he will be a thoughtful, hardworking Senator. #Michigan

If you are not following these Raven reports, they are a joyful break from the rest of life.

Another absolutely joyous time with the Ravens. I am laughing out loud at this goofball 😅 A little frost roll and wash before having a little canoodle ( sound up for such adorable little chortles 🥰) If this doesn’t lift your mood I don’t know what would 😅😅

Life today in Kyiv.

Kyiv. I visited an exhibition today. Powerful. ‘War and Conflict Photography in Times of Global Change’. While I was there, the power went out. Generators saved the situation. But I want you to feel this moment of darkness.

Fabric designs from that era are inspiring. Too bad such terrible times following while during the Soviet period.

Ugh. Thank goodness my 8th grade teacher at East Lansing Junior High had taken a workshop and taught us Italics. I loved & practiced it. Later I even studied calligraphy. People still compliment my handwriting. #HandWriting #Italics #EastLansing #PalmerMethod #Cursive

A fascinating little ring from the Punic necropolis on Ibiza. It depicts a bearded man in profile, but his hair and beard are composed of two birds (!), and his collar is a dolphin. 😮 The Punic inscription reads 'Belonging to Abdim'. 🏺 1/ 3rd-2nd c. BCE. #MuseoArqueológicoNacional 📸 me

I just listened to Stitched by Eli McCann from the Richmond Public Library - FREE. A loving & funny antidote to my usual police procedurals, Tim Snyder, and hard to face history. It was a reminder of my many happy hours in quilt, knitting, & textile groups. #QuiltSky #Stitched #BookSky #EliMcCann
