I think Melania puts on the accent super-thick because 1) She thinks it makes her seem chic and exotic, 2) It subtly shows her contempt for the U.S. and English, and 3) It can be used as an excuse for when she butchers English pronunciation and usage because she's just an ordinary stupid slut.
