Just discovered that when Tomoko Watanabe debuted the move it was a back lift into an uranage (rather than a sit-out driver) and looked like absolute fuckin' death 💀

Not only did Nanase make their outfits, she also did Suzuka's (after Suzuka's own design, and that pouch is fake so no hidden weapons for the soldier)

Guessing this match had been planned for a while since they had time to get matching costumes made for a whole new team (although Nanase is a gear maker, maybe she worked on nothing else for a month or so)

Also lol @ "people love to read between the lines so I'll just air all our shit out" yes you dork that's one reason people get mad at you while other promotions fly under the radar being more evil [keeping the house lights on so everyone can see the low crowd turnout as a metaphor for something]

Sadly they still made a profit on this show so I guess they'll run Ryogoku again next year when they really should have scaled down Threatening more triple crown matches, truly the man's evil knows no end Was hoping Sakurai would stay in Marigold for the rest of her career, like she's said herself

And then again how he regarded her highly, but disagreement on her further position/booking in the company as her reason for leaving I imagine her health broke down at the worst time, right about now would've been her chance for a run at the top because next year the homegrown push will start

Is that the first time there's been a match announcement for the next PPV on a PPV? Anyway, this whole thing will have been meaningless if the follow-up doesn't deliver so I guess we'll see (very good promo though)

Hate how we got here, but that was the best 3-way in company history by a mile or two or three. Liked it more than the final 2 portion even, maybe because at that point the result felt certain.

Actually pretty solid tag. I did have my concerns how the teams would mesh, but Hikari has shaken off the ring rust by now and Kouki/Unagi feels like a rivalry to build on (if the eel can find some time in her busy schedule)

Sick match, all four were going all out So both returnees today learning that the others have grown during their absence, Tachibana getting out of the Aoki Clutch was hype (also is there something up with the ropes? Feel like everyone's airtime has been shorter than usual)

Commentary notes: Nao Ishikawa mentioned, she's "taking time off" Now they're claiming staff backstage is happy to see Unagi back, clearly nothing they say can be trusted (also teasing more appearances, papapa please not) La Vie En Rose allegedly will keep going

I almost skipped it, but turns out her short interview for a more casual audience of that weekly magazine has Mayu spell out her thoughts about Saturday more clearly (bc good editing?) Even manages to compliment Miku for once, but Mayu talks like she's been chilling so far and now playtime's over
