Tonight’s #TOTP reminding me that I won a signed Captain Sensible album in a Smash Hits competition in 1982. And probably still have it stashed away somewhere. 😁

Incoming date with Serbian prog metallers, me? 😁 #gig

Appear to have removed the top layer of skin from my best typing finger with a jar opener, the very thing designed to prevent you being injured from hard-to-open jars. Guess the next book will have to wait…..😩 #booksky

Great night at Wembley watching The Prodigy and their many lasers. 😁 #gig

I feel like it’s going to be a good evening. 😁

Right, well this made my morning :) So good to see people still enjoying Troublemaker nearly a year after it hit shelves...#booksky @vulpinepress.bsky.social

#TOTP 1999 just peaked. While reminding me that it’s 27 years old since Hey Boy Hey Girl came out *faints*

Not sure what was weirder about today’s commute: the brave person in shorts (in anticipation of it being at least 16 degrees later) or some young ‘un offering me a seat on the bus because I am now that elderly, apparently. 😳 #wednesday #humpday

Heading home after a bloody awesome @baytales.bsky.social festival. And as terrifying as it was Noir At The Bar was one epic night. 😁 #booksky @vulpinepress.bsky.social

A fab night talking all things Troublemaker - and spilling a few book two secrets - at Northfields Library in Ealing. Thanks to everyone who came and to the lovely folks there for having me! #booksky @vulpinepress.bsky.social

What’s that you say? Little old me taking part in #noiratthebaybar at @baytales.bsky.social next weekend? So excited to be on the bill for this and talk all things Troublemaker. It’s going to be an awesome weekend. 😁 #booksky @vulpinepress.bsky.social

#TOTP tonight reminding me that the New Radicals had a huge hit with You Get What You Give (aka one of the best songs of the 90s), followed up with an awesome album, announced a show, cancelled the show and split up in the course of a few months. 😁 I had tickets for that gig too 😳

So excited to be heading to Northfields Library in Ealing next month to talk all things Troublemaker (and slip a few clues in about book two!) Ticket info is below if you want to come along and watch me in action 😁 #booksky @vulpinepress.bsky.social

Sorry but I can no longer hear Cuddly Toy by Roachford without wanting to lean out of the nearest window midway through and shout ‘YOUR FOG LAMPS ARE ON….’ #TOTP

Meanwhile, daughter's second student mag piece of the month highlights an important, and very personal issue. ❤️ www.strandmagazine.co.uk/single-post/...

My daughter's latest uni mag piece confirms that your ex really DOESN'T deserve a revenge dress. 😀 www.hercampus.com/school/kcl/y...

No of course I didn’t find #thetraitors finale unbearably tense, whatever gave you that idea? 😳🤣

2026 is the National Year of Reading. Whether you favour a paperback, ebook, audio or comic book just pick one up and give it a go. Reading has so many benefits, what do you have to lose? www.vulpine-press.com #booksky #nationalyearofreading #mentalhealth #amreading

Last Saturday: living it up on my holidays, flying business class, staying in a lovely hotel, eating pizza and sipping cocktails and generally living it up. This Saturday: sitting at home in my pyjamas trying to guess the identity of a singing sloth. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 #maskedsinger

Blondie’s awesome Maria on #TOTP is reminding me that it was around this period of my life that I ended up on the same flight as Deborah Harry. Would have been a better claim to fame if we’d actually spoken, mind. 😁

New Year, New...Books! Happy New Year from all of us at Vulpine Press! We're so excited for what's to come this year, including new releases from bestsellers Jaqueline Druga, Devon C Ford, Riall Nolan, C. R. Westbrook, and SO many more! Stay tuned! #booksky #newyear #amreading #readinggoals

Apologies for the old radio silence - been on holiday, while helping my daughter move countries (albeit temporarily). Exciting bookish things will return soon, I promise. 😁 #amediting #booksky

Nothing says spirit of Christmas quite like trawling through four shops at 5pm on Christmas Eve for a last minute pack of mini mince pies 😁 Consider the festive season saved.

Pop quiz, #TOTP 1990 viewers, what song knocked Cliff’s Saviour’s Day off the number one spot? It worries me a little that of all the number ones in all the world this is the one I’ve never forgotten 😁

Watching #TOTP 1990’s Christmas special with some trepidation, remembering that this was the year I started work in magazines. Am elderly. 😳

Just one of those days where I have to buy another 27 books on my Kindle because I've got a trip coming up and I'm worried the 150 or so unread ones I have on there won't be enough...😆 #booksky

Books make great Christmas gifts. Even more so if I’ve written them 😜 #booksky

Daughter's latest blog entry sheds light on why making the trek out to Alexandra Palace was worth it to see the blimmin' awesome Electric Callboy. 😀 #blog #review somethingem.wordpress.com/2025/12/15/e...

The irony that I am watching Robin Beck sing Coke anthem The First Time on #TOTP 1988 while sipping my beverage of choice has not been lost on me. 😁

Have an author Christmas party straight from work tonight so havedressed up, just a little. By 8.16am my belt had snapped off and had already trodden on my skirt hem approximately eight times 🤦🏻‍♀️ #authorlife

Loving this latest review of Troublemaker 😀. Who knew I was fun, pacy and sparkling? Don't forget, you can snap up a copy at shorturl.at/2eCrv - and if you've already read it don't forget to share your thoughts too! #booksky @vulpinepress.bsky.social

Oh and The Rasmus did one of my favourite ever songs because of course they did. 😁

Daughter and I wenr to see The Rasmus tonight (who were great, of course) and bumped into Lee Jennings, lead singer of support act The Funeral Portrait, by the merch stand. Photo had to be done. Right after he’d used Emily as an armrest. 😁 #gig #metal

Just Amazon reminding me that books make great Christmas presents :) #booksky #troublemaker @vulpinepress.bsky.social

2025. Had a book published, wrote a couple more books. Might have listened to Fannybaws a little too often. 😁 #spotifywrapped

A #WIP you say? I couldn't possibly comment. Anyway. 6,000 words down, only another 452,675 to go :) #booksky

Things I did in 2025: published a book, wrote books, listened to Revery by Electric Callboy once or twice.😀. #spotifywrapped

This week’s #TOTP stack is going a long way to convincing me that the charts in late 1998 consisted of six songs. 😳

I wrote a couple of chapters of something new this week and now I feel properly proud of myself. #WIP #amwriting

Also tonight I FINALLY got to see #bloodywood, who I missed earlier in the year because they played the day before Troublemaker was published (so I was a little busy!). Worth the wait however 😁

#halestorm ate and left no crumbs (as the young folk say) at the O2 tonight :)

Regrettably when I heard the opening bars of Under Pressure on #TOTP just now I did mutter ‘Ice Ice Baby’ under my breath and now fear I must retreat from public life. 😳😁

Just me, realising that book two edits are now off and running. 😁 #amediting #writerslife

#Electriccallboy, you made the 742 mile round trip to Ally Pally and that bit where we got dumped in the middle of nowhere by that abruptly terminating bus afterwards worth every minute. One of my favourite gigs of the year 😁😁

Daughter seems to write even more than I do these days. Here's her latest piece - for one of the university publications she now writes for - on why sewing is basically great. 😀 www.hercampus.com/school/kcl/e...

#gogolbordello were as incredible as ever. It may however take me several days to recover. 😁 #livemusic

#gogolbordello I am coming for ya. Let’s see if I look this tidy and pristine by the end of the gig 🤣🤣 #livemusic

Daughter this morning: 'Right, I need to lock in, I have loads of uni work to get done, no interruptions.' One hour later she sends me this: 😂

So we're up to 31 Troublemaker reviews on Amazon now! Want to become reviewer number 32? If you've read it why not pop on over shorturl.at/2eCrv and share your thoughts? Us authors love reviews you know :) #booksky #bookreviews @vulpinepress.bsky.social

Battle Beast were incredible at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire tonight (as were support acts Dominum and Majestica). Now wondering if I should get something like this for my work Christmas party 😁 #gig #metal
