Following the textbooks in Texas? You should be.. because those textbooks end up going to a lot of other statesʻ schools. We learned this early in NCLB and all the test-driven textbooks. BEWARE

This is not new, sadly. Look who creates textbooks and where they are sold. Often it depends on the " $$ʻ possible. Which is why a textbook in Hawaii had errors some years ago but the publisher did not fix because it was not feasible. :(

On 8/15, Mālama Mākua hosted a cultural access specifically for lineal descendants of Mākua into the Valley. This on the westside of Oahu Island. If you have a chance, try to view the film about Makua Valley today. Still needs to be cleared, even if the military leaves.

This is the first time in our organization’s history -& possibly the first time since the US Military evicted the valley’s residents back in 1941 - that this many lineal descendants have been together in the valley at the same time.

Just a reminder... Hurricane Lala is now sitting outside the ISLAND OF HAWAII. Itʻs name is not BIG. Important to use the correct names always. BIG is used as a convenience for those who are more than capable of using the correct name. Mahalo.
