these look like lema solani (banded lema leaf beetle) i've dealt with similar issues and what helped me most were things such as neem oil, and organic sprays like spinosad (monterey garden insect spray or bonide captain jack's deadbug brew) and even pyrethrin (pyganic)

I also was out early enough to catch the mfers that’s been eating my peppers. IDK what kind of bug this is but I need an organic solution to get rid of them.

spilled some cracked corn and the freeranging chickens immediately went to work. there's nothing wasted on the farm...

i promise it's okay to leave Fido at home while we eat..

I hate when folks bring their pets inside restaurants. like..come the fuck on bro.

okay, i think i'm at a place where i can let this sit....

the art and the medium: (not quite finished yet)

looks like i'm heading back to NYC this summer. gonna reconnect with my zoes, argue about the Knicks, and get caught up in the World Cup festivities...

no, i don't think that's true. i think a man might know what initially draws him to a woman, but that's not the same thing as knowing what he wants from her. people are too complex for me to decide their place in my life within five minutes of meeting them.

Is it true that a man knows exactly what he wants out of woman from first meeting? Talk to me.. 🥂

what i usually know early on is whether I'm curious. whether i want another conversation. whether there's something about the way they think, speak, laugh, create, move through the world, or carry themselves that makes me want to learn more....

after that, i pay attention. i don't think attraction automatically tells me someone is a lover, a friend, a collaborator, a passing acquaintance, or someone who will change my life in a meaningful way. those answers reveal themselves through time, consistency, character, and shared experience.

it's the busy season for sure. furnished some raised beds, incorporated polyculturalist crops, been working on other projects and properties, just had some goat babies, cats, and essentially been keeping everything together and alive the past couple months. had some more variety in chickens too.

witnessed yet another birth this morning. the mother is Belgian Malinois and the father is German Shepherd/Husky mix never a dull moment on the farm..

yep, an incredibly selfish thing to do and then ignore and treat the Sherpas like an inconvenience along the way, ignoring their advice. and then folks have to risk their lives to retrieve your body?

you gotta pay to climb mt. everest?? to crawl and climb over all those dead people just for the plot?

exactly. i actually have a 50-100 book quota i'm trying to reach this year so posts like that would be helpful

i picture the next few years pretty clearly. my work, my writing, the kind of spaces i want to be in, the people i want around me. 10 years is harder to pin down concretely. i'm focused on trajectory than fixed outcomes. sustaining creativity, being rooted, and my environment more intentional.

Can you picture your life 10 years from now?

3/3 i feel seen lol

shutting down the 285 to re-pave roads for the World Cup is like last minute cleaning before the guests arrive. these roads have been spotty for at least a decade, if not more.

prayers for everyone having to be on the 285 this weekend.
