"There's a girl on the cover and she has two houses and she has overalls on? She writes a journal about her dad for her mom's house and about her mom for her dad's house and the cover is, like, light blue. And her little sister's name is Bea." And I found it. www.moniquepolak.com/books-by-mon...
Augh, I finished my book and now I don’t have anything to read before bed what shall I dooooo (KIN by Tayari Jones. I enjoyed it VERY much - multifaceted and complex like people are complex. www.tayarijones.com/books2/kin/ )
This is adorable and awesome. I am NOT an #accountant and I am so happy to support someone who IS for State Auditor!!
Accountants know what it takes to do the work of the Office of the State Auditor and I am proud to have the support of so many accountants across Minnesota. ZackforMN.com #accountant #minnesota #vote

A really wise thread about middle-grade readers. I’d argue there’s a similar problem for younger teens, too!
As a parent of a Kid Who Reads and a Kid Who Is Starting to Read, I 100% believe that publishing could put even a little more effort into MG and be rewarded for it. Kids *are* reading. I see it among 9yo's schoolmates, I see it among 5yo's. They love the school library. They love being read to.
Not as many opportunities for Amy to do this kind of thing as governor, unfortunately.
Klobuchar has Schmitt dead to rights: "The game in fact was in Maryland. For a senator to have false information & imply, based on confusion about name of a team, that you were in another city & somehow involved that day in what was happening in Georgia & call you a 'dirtbag' deserves an apology"
I’m not paying terribly close attention, but this does match the pattern I’ve seen for the entirety of my marriage. Eldest has adopted a fatalistic attitude about it, which I think makes her a true MN football fan.
If you're new to the Minnesota Vikings, they'll squeak out questionable wins until a 9-2 record, make you think they're for real, then finish 10-7, make the playoffs on a tiebreaker, then lose in a way that has never happened before.
Highlights. Games. Omni. I didn’t have a Cricket subscription myself, but one of my siblings did and we had a crap ton of back issues in the house. Sassy! Writer’s Digest in HS. My parents had BH&G, Woman’s Day, PopMech, Reader’s Digest, and two daily papers. I read them all.
if any, what kind of magazine subscriptions--specifically subscriptions--did you have as a kid?
In case you have cilantro or parsley still hanging out in your fridge (or your garden), I present you a chimichurri recipe. This one is all cilantro; most are half parsley and I imagine you could do all parsley if you don’t care for cilantro. I love it. braziliankitchenabroad.com/cilantro-chi...
