Elections aren’t football games. It’s not about who’s ahead, but who would better do the job of protecting us from arbitrary power and improve the condition of our society so we have the economic and political freedom to make choices about our lives. VOTE.

Free and fair elections depend on people who are willing to speak up when they witness wrongdoing. That's why Government Accountability Project created a new guide: On the Front Lines of Election Protection: A Guide to Speaking Up. Here’s what to know... 🧵

Good morning welcome to Tippetty tap tap Thursday I’ve never understood why some people think kindness is a weakness. From where I sit, i see that it takes a rather wonderful sort of strength to remain gentle in a world that isn’t always gentle in return Be kind 🧡

To get at the fact that our wages our not rising with productivity the way they used to, we can reinvigorate labor & employment laws. To get at out of control medical costs, we can create universal healthcare. To ensure the courts don't overturn these policies, we can address the Oligarchy's Bench.

Part of the reason is likely that Meta had to face a jury of ordinary citizens in the New Mexico case--people who have dealt with the privacy invasion, misinformation, addiction, and scams that Big Tech brings--and these average citizens just want to do their duty and go home. 2/

But in federal court, the big tech monopoly cases are often heard by a judge (not a jury) who might bring a pro-monopoly bias learned in courses they took in "Law & Economics" or an anti-regulatory bias developed as a member of the Federalist Society. Not every unkind word deserves a reply, and not every disagreement needs your attention. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is quietly walk away, protect your peace and leave others to their own noise.
