Why isn't this Rapist Asshole in Prison?

Today is that special day for our house panthers.

Walter Koenig from the original "Star Trek" has died. "Star Trek", in all incarnations, has been a huge part of my life, and it saddens me that the people who helped deepen my interest in science fiction are leaving us. Ad Astra, Walter. Be Seeing You.

It's the afternoon here and I've done all the stuff I usually do every day. Which means I have an open afternoon. I know I want to finish a novel scene, and I'll get to that after I eat lunch. Last full week of October. And... A Full Moon! Time to howl!

Going to watch "Anatomy of a Fall" tonight because I'm quite curious about this film, and because I like Sandra Hüller. It should be a good way to end the evening. Still have writing ahead, but I'll get it done. I'm going to have some great word counts come this time next week.

It's been something of a busy day today. But I've finished all my work, so I can relax tonight and watch "Ashes to Ashes". Reached the half-way point of my novel--though, is it really? I guess I'll find out sometime next month.

Hell yes, I stand with her!

Good morning & welcome to #Caturday You don’t have to have everything figured out today. Sometimes it’s enough to turn up, be yourself and make somebody smile And if all else fails, find a sunny spot and look important What’s one little thing that would make you smile today

I got up at 5 AM and have accomplished only one thing this morning. Halloween is only 8 days away, and I can't wait. Going to write a scene in the next novel after this. The WiP is already over 70,000 words. I haven't written like this in some time. The last full weekend of October is here. Enjoy.

I'm reading "The Trial of Lizzie Borden" and the guy prosecuting Lizzie had this to say during his summation: "Abby Borden (the stepmother) was killed, not by the strong hand of a man, but by the weak and ineffectual blows of a woman." Man, so much misogynist bullshit flying around back then!

Today is a unusual anniversary for me: 7 years ago I was released from a behavioral health hospital. Since that time my mental health has been good, thanks to therapy and medication. Don't fail to neglect your mental health. It's not a sign of weakness to seek out help. We all need it now and then.

Night night sweet dreamies Some people make the world feel a little softer just by being in it. They may never realise how much their presence means, or how often they’re thought of with affection. If someone came to mind just now, perhaps you should tell them.

Tonight I finish "Life on Mars", which has been a great show. I'm glad I finally viewed it. Tomorrow, I begin "Ashes to Ashes" and more or less continue the story. Wrote over 5,000 words yesterday. I think I'll go a little slower today.

Today marks two weeks until the US Midterm elections. We all know the assignment, and we all know what's at stake. Get out and Vote. Show Your Power!

Today may be a great day, but let's remember one thing: billionaires are not dragons hording gold. They are, for the most part, greedy assholes who don't care for regular people. The act as if we are beneath them: they don't bother hiding it, either. They need to be eliminated. The serve no good.

Yeah, it's become pretty fucking obvious.

Yesterday, I wrote just over 3,900 words, which is the most I've written in some time. The words are flowing nicely, and I feel I'll finish a chapter today. Writing feels good again, and I'm loving this novel. It's the start of another week. Everyone Try to have a good day!

I happen to love this. And continue to say Fuck ICE!

Yesterday, I had a bit of drama as my Bluesky account was suspended because they said I was spamming other accounts. Took most of 8 hours to fix, but here I am, back on the chain gang. Welcome to Sunday! Today the new novel crosses 50,000 words. And there is still plenty to write.

Welcome to Caturday! If you have kitties, make them feel extra special today!

Love this movie and have always been creeped out by The Twins.

I see Trumpy needs a new Press Secretary. What? Wasn't the last one enough of a perfect combination of being blonde and conservative for Dozy Donald??

Be like John Brown

The Dodgers visited the White House, and as a result, they got their asses handed to them by Milwaukee. No World Series for you! See ya, Losers! Everything Trump touches turns to shit!

For those who "believe" Climate Change is just a hoax:

Crossed 41,500 words last night on the new novel, and I'm not even to the half-way point. I know this is going to be my first 100,000 words novel in a while, so I might not finish it until December. Will begin reading "The Trial of Lizzy Bordon" today. I love Lizzie. Sometimes you gotta whack 'em.

Haven't written yet but finished up a LONG scene last night--almost 2,000 words--so I'm looking at passing 40,000 words today. I have a feeling this is going to be my first 100,000+ words novel in a long time. But first, lunch and maybe a nap. Maybe. Started watching "Life on Mars". So good.

I really miss Chicago.

This morning I meet with a doctor and then go have blood work done. I'll have all afternoon to do the things I need to do, but I'm retired, so getting all that in won't be a problem. Almost halfway through October. Things are going quickly. Before we know it, Thanksgiving will be here.

Finished "Carrie" last night and I CALLED one part of the show on the nose, which made me feel great. I loved the new adaptation, and while it veered away from the source material, it was a nice update to the current time period. Highly recomended.

Happy indigenous peoples day!

Today is a new day. Things are better and looking up. Just listening to music now and waiting on breakfast. Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day! Let us find peace in these fucked up times.

I'm having a bit of a meltdown this morning. I used to have cats and I miss them greatly, but I can't have a cat where I live and I would love to take care of one. I'll be better later, but right now I'm a weepy mess. If you have kitties, hug them tight. They are wonderful.

🧡 #WorldMentalHealthDay Everyone has a story, and some chapters are harder than others. You don’t need to fix everything. Sometimes just listening, showing kindness and reminding someone they matter can mean the world. Be gentle with yourself and others. Love, George 🐈❤️

Yesterday was strange, but not only did I finally write something new at 9 PM, but I started editing another novel I want to publish this month. It didn't seem like it, but yesterday was a busy day. Today is going to be nice and cool. And I have coffee and music this morning. So good.

🌙🐾 Night night, sweet dreamies. 🧡 Life is full of different chapters. Some make us smile, some make us cry, and some we wish we could skip altogether. But remember, one difficult chapter doesn't mean the whole story is a sad one.

George wants you to know him. He's worth knowing.

Fuck ICE. Arrest them all and Nuremberg their asses.

FUCK every millionaire celebrity, athlete & ex athlete who is participating in advertising for gambling sites. I’m sure there are many worthy products you could endorse that don’t encourage people to squander their hard earned money. FUCK ALL OF YOU!!!

Crossed 30,000 words in the new novel last night. I have a strange dream to write today, so I need to get into the mood to do something freaky. Today is also World Octopus Day and International Lesbian Day. Celebrate as you would any other holiday. I know I will.

ah damn, RIP Margaret Hamilton. she took safety-critical software engineering seriously, and got people to the moon and back. news.mit.edu/2026/margare...

I've taken it easy this morning; just coffee and a little reading. Going to watch the new "Carrie" because I'm curious to see what it's like. Novel is inching towards 30,000 words. Probably hit that today or tomorrow.

It's been a cool and lazy morning. Haven't done a thing so far, but after breakfast is a good time to start. Fall has arrived where I live, and I'm here for it. Bring on Halloween!

Dennis Hastert is dead. Good. Fucking pedophile.

Reading and writing is out of the way. At least for now. More to come later. Finally watched "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" last night, something I'd never seen and wanted to view. It was bullshit, but at least it was entertaining bullshit. I'll need to find a movie for tonight as well.

Apparently it’s Do Something Nice Day. So today, do one small kind thing. Send a message. Make a cuppa. Make someone laugh. Check on someone who’s quiet. You may never know how much it meant. And feed a ginger cat. Obviously.

I just finished writing 1,800 words for a scene, which is something I haven't done in a while. So, yay for me!

The hallway fight and escape in Atomic Blonde. The seemingly unbroken brawl down the building, followed by the dynamic car chase. The cinematography alone was phenomenal. I DO think a couple of the bad guys took a BIT too long to go down, but what can ya do.
