I've been engaging in the Grey Zone Warfare community lately and I've learned a very important lesson from it: The world needs more positivity, respect, and kindness. Genuinely feel like writing some upbeat happier stories lately just because the world needs less toxicity and more positivity.

I miss the days when shit-talking in a game was fun wordplay and not just being a vulgar douchebag and tearing down your opponent. Like if you wipe a squad with your glock, instead of shouting "Eat a dick!", try a rousing rendition of "Rock around the Glock" to the lobby.

This. This is why we should have funded the Derek Zoolander's School for Kids Who Can't Read Good.

"I believe that our education, like, such as in South Africa and the—Iraq everywhere, like, such as and I believe that they should—our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., or should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq, and the Asian countries." -- Miss South Carolina

You have be a special level of oblivious of your neighbors to run a leaf blower at 7am on a Sunday. Like zero situational awareness. Zero concept of how you impact other people. Just troglodyte all the live long day.

I didn't cut off my parents, but I understand why many did. My parents were simply ignorant to the harm they were doing. Many Xers and Boomer parents weren't ignorant at all. They knew exactly the harm they were doing, but chose not to care, and victimized their kids for expressing their pain.

The most psychotic possible framing of this archive.is/202609271858...

If you want my honest opinion, the damage came from American culture being steeped so heavily in "I've got mine" mentality. So many thought "Hardship is good for my kids" without looking at what the actual hardship was or what was driving it. If they had, they'd find THEY were the hardship.

Home garden cooks know there's just something wonderful about cooking with food you grew yourself. It feels more rewarding knowing you put the work in. Apparently successfully foraging and cooking something is it's own level of rewarding. Put me in the best mood I've been in in years!

About that Puffball and those Chicken of the Woods. They are delicious, but my favorite part is they were literally dirt cheap. #mushroomsky #mushrooms #fungi #homecooking

The stupidity is just unreal. If you're evil, you're so smart you're good because you get things done. This is what this troglodyte just said, and he has too much power in our culture. In the famous words of Stan Smith "Every villain is the hero of his own APPLE CINNAMON MONKEY TOASTER."

This is actually hell, right?

Just a reminder Ed Sheeran was homeless when he found stardom, and then immediately began to shit all over homeless people including erecting anti-homeless architecture in front of his home. So none of this stuff with him really surprises me here.

It really sucks when people only try to connect on what THEY want. I get this is somewhat natural for a lot of people, but I don't work that way. I've gotten out of my comfort zone my whole life for people who never once did it for me. That shit starts to hurt. Therapy levels of hurt.

Ya know, if I had one superpower to pick, it would be to elevate people's minds to be more emotionally intellectual, situationally aware, logical and deductive. It's just too bad you really can't fix stupid.

Hey #writingcommunity and #indieauthors, was there a point where you lost all motivation to write? Even Ray Bradbury had this moment when his wife passed. If you can't find motivation in the things you already have, what do you do to motivate?

It's largely psychological, but there are surely some things one can do to WANT to write again. I've tried doing many things to re-motivate and none are working. It's not about money, or too few people reading(though that doesn't help). Any inspiration offered is appreciated!

Fun fact: 9/11 led to the Patriot Act which caused massive restructuring and the creation of DHS. And now we have ICE. Don't worry though, the racism was still plenty thick before we gave it authority in this country. The more things change, amirite?

Some fascinating tech, and yet food insecurity is still a serious problem. Priorities, amirite?

In the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the real grass is moved underground when the stadium hosts concerts and events. This allows the field to stay healthy while the space transforms for huge crowds. Original post

I have to keep a bandage warp on my leg for the second-degree burn I got from making tea. The bandage is actually causing considerable pain because my bum hip doesn't like how I have to change my posture just to keep the damn thing from falling and scraping on my burn on the way down.

My wife and I often eat just seasoned pan-fried chicken breasts with white rice for dinner. She has a special diet that requires simplicity, and I've gotten good at making chicken tasty enough it's good enough by itself. Even this incredibly simplistic diet is expensive.

We often cook 2 breasts, one for each of us, which would mean if we kept it that simple every night with NO deviation, chicken alone would cost $300. 60 breasts x 4.99lb = $299.40 for the month for JUST CHICKEN. We usually bulk up around $3.79/lb on sale. Which is still $227.40.

So to anyone who says things are plenty affordable right now: Enjoy living in your little bubble. I'm truly happy you don't have to deal with these problems. I just wish you recognized reality and how difficult things are for everyone else. P.S. That didn't include other inputs like oil/seasoning.

Gotta go to the doc to check on the second degree burn on my leg. I was just making chamomile lavender tea, particularly to calm down because I was very wound up. As you can guess, that cup of tea made it oh so much worse.

Hot take: Nitro Cold Press is ruining good cold press. Seriously, as much as most people like the texture the carbonation adds a sour taste to what should be caramelly bitter coffee.

Language is important because body language doesn't glean context well. I've had people turn to me just to break down their arguments into something they can wrap their head around because they literally couldn't articulate in words how they felt without a guide to the english language.

Think about it for two seconds. If the overwhelming majority of communication were nonverbal I could deliver the gist of the message "my younger brother is moving to Austin next spring to study chemical engineering" to another person without using any words. Communication is like 6% nonverbal

Got the worst burn of my life on my front thigh last night. Its the size of my fist and immediately peeled skin. The moral of the story is even chamomile lavender tea can be dangerous at the right temperature.

Here's one of my favorite fun #shortstories! Mike Friday is no ordinary video rental shop clerk. He's a quarky engineer spending his days collecting late fees, and nights perfecting his masterpiece. #writing #booksky #prose #fiction #silly #comedy www.chainedreality.com/shortstories...

37 short stories transferred, with another 25 being let go because they're honestly bad. I have however made notes of concepts and things I could revisit from past works and polish them. Reading Dungeon Crawler Carl is motivating me quite a bit to work on this again.

I'm looking to switch my website from Squarespace and am saving all of my content from the current site to my computer so I can transfer it to the new one later easier. Gonna be real with y'all, I forgot how much I've written over the years. It's quite an undertaking. #writing

If someone tells you "It wasnt my thing" or "It was ok" to any level of literature, they didn't actually read it ernestly. People who read and actually take it in, whether they liked it or not, will always have specific moments to talk about. Good or bad.

I am living Sam Vines' boot theory. My Red Wings that cost me $300 have been around for nearly 10 years. When I couldn't wear them for work, I had to get cheaper ones, about $60-80 a pop that wore out in less than a year, and I have had multiple jobs not allow brown colored boots for some reason.

Whatever is in the air is making my nose go absolutely apeshit even through antihistamines. Did Trump give a speech again because I'm massively allergic to bullshit. Zyrtec won't help that.
