Cerified Pinned Post - Check out my Youtube Channel! I post competitive inkbrush gameplay but am also a believer in off meta comps and having fun with conventionally bad weapons! I frequently post open matches, scrims and tournament runs, sometimes with explanations. www.youtube.com/@chaisplatoon

How to VOD Review Yourself and Others: A resource that was reserved only for my SBA teams. I was going to make it into a video but it seems too awkward and long to mKe… so here’s the script I reformatted into a guide. It’s free to read on my metafy #compsplatoon #splatoon3 mfy.gg/guides/view/...

mfy.ggIntroductionHi I'm Chai, I've been coaching for roughly a year and been reviewing myself for even longer. Since I make videos critiquing my own gameplay here's a guide on how to review yourself and others! Was an...

Anyone know of any octobrush coaches, I feel like I’m on a real roll recently but also I haven’t had solo coaching in years. Ik it’s not completely necessary but I would like to have someone else knowledgable about the weapon help me out alongside self vod reviewing. Gotta try harder to push farther

Learned about the guides section on metafy and I’ve been freed from the word count on posts… a larger guide being dropped sometime this week 😈 Very low chance this will be made into a video bc idk how that would look…

You think I can re-listen to all of these before the movie release? It’s been SO long since I’ve read the og trilogy (I think I was like 12-13?). Listened to sunrise on the reaping the week it came out… but I should give it and maybe the others a revisit before I see the movie on opening day.

It’s funny because when I was younger I wanted to watch the movies after I heard people at school talking about them. My mom wouldn’t let me watch them unless I read the books first. So she bought me all of them 😂 I remember really enjoying them, but have no memory of mockingjay.

I have since re-read the first book but never got around to reading the other 2 or ballad of song birds and snakes. I feel like I should… might have a different perspective on them 10 years later.

Update! My script finally got resolved with metafy so… Part 2 is up! This part is about my experience with the mental toll of playing hockey and how I relate those experiences to the way I interact with the Splatoon community. metafy.gg/posts/MjSnkp... #compsplatoon #splatoon3

Played inkbrush in a tournament on Friday and now that I have to go back to wiper I'm geniunelly mourning the loss of inkbrush 🥲

Chai
@chaisplatoon.bsky.social

I was having so much fun playing inkbrush on rainmaker… then the rotation switched to tc and i get stuck with 52, dynamo, litre, blaster hell, Yeah im off for the night. 0 flanks routes, 0 cover, easiest weapons known to man. Can we make good weapons difficult again 😭

Chai
@chaisplatoon.bsky.social

There are SO many guides on how to play rainmaker, but none how to be your teams dedicated rainmaker carrier. Unfortunately it's a HUGE video I never got around to making so have my script until I have the time to make it. metafy.gg/posts/OU9bJb... #compsplatoon

Was uploading old scripts to my @metafy.bsky.social and I can’t upload my script “How Playing Hockey I Influnces the Way I Play Splatoon” because me talking about how I navigate sexism in hockey and e-sports is restricted content… I’m just trying to tell people how I deal with sexism as a player 😭

Chai
@chaisplatoon.bsky.social

I’ll keep it up without that section for now I guess… but maybe this inspires me to actually make that video if my script is being censored 😭😭 But that means actually getting out on the ice for B roll 😬

Here's the first part of the "How Playing Hockey Influenced The Way I Interact With Splatoon" Youtube Script nowarticle for my metafy, it's free if you want to check it out! Part 2 will be done soon, getting stuff regarding my last post sorted. #compsplatoon #splatoon3 metafy.gg/posts/RX93Se...

I'll be posting a bunch of my scripts I never turned into videos or will eventually make into videos but have been sitting in "The vault" for almost a year. So my guides and other general splatoon discussion scripts will be posted to read for free on the "posts" section of my metafy.

Someone claimed audio from this video with a song that doesn’t even appear in the video????? I can’t even dispute bc it’ll go back to the person who claimed it. Looks like I have to mute that section. Fuck you youtube

Love seeing the d5 pickups teams in a41 get seeded literally last place because signups close 5 mins before the tourney and seeding is not adjusted. Like there's 3 teams who have d5 level teams in one group LMAO

Chai
@chaisplatoon.bsky.social

But then again all the under d7 teams are playing in ftiu, like can we stop having all our capped tournaments overlap? Friday: FTIU and A41. Saturday: Milkcup, Cats have 7 Lives and Around the World

Chai
@chaisplatoon.bsky.social

We wonder why tournaments get such low turnouts, its probs bc y'all are running similar capped (d5, d7 and d9) tournaments on the same day when there are smaller number of low level teams joining the scene. More tournaments ≠ Better

Here’s a little update: I didn’t get my camera back, probably won’t ever. However, I went to go pickup a new one and the guy selling it wanted it gone and felt bad for me so he only charged me $40 for a camera, 2 lenses, a flash and old film!

Chai@chaisplatoon.bsky.social

Someone broke into my car and stole my film camera… I’m actually devastated. I loved that camera so much. I hate this fuck ass neighborhood where I get harassed outside DAILY and my shit is constantly getting broken into. Fuck this man

All and all it ended up being okay. I got a newer version of my previous camera for 1/3 of the price and multiple lenses, a flash, an automatic mode (for using flash) and a new auto camera! Very thankful to those in my community who gave me deals, gifted me things, drove with me to pick up, etc.

The situation REALLY sucks but I’m glad I was able to replace it and get even more for the same amount I bought the original for. Will still miss all my memories with the old one but here’s to making new memories with this camera Lastly here are some of my favourite photos I took with my K1000

On top of that I did have to purchase the original lense of the camera since the seller no longer had if and so I paid $40 to someone else for one. My coworker also gifted me an old point and shoot film camera and I had to pay $20 for a replacement part (which is super cheap lol).

To top it off the pawn shops I called said “yeah unless you have a serial number we can’t verify the camera is yours”. And won’t give it back to me… I actually hate it here, people stealing my shit and pawn shops making a buck off of it.
