United’s Starlink rollout started with the smallest, lowest end planes and has been slowly working up which means I have the weird experience of feeling devastated when I get on a plane and see it’s bigger and nicer 😅

5 (maybe save that explainer for another crazy person Twitter screed) Anyway, curious what you think. Now I can post my little updates here instead of blowing up all my group chats with the weird ideas

And every building has a procedurally generated interior. There's tons of vehicles, skateboarding (with skateparks), snowboarding (with ski resorts & lifts) Also a photography mode with all sorts of fun goodies

The whole thing is a bit mad. Work's been insane right now and I wind down before bed by going through all of the work Claude has done that day, playtesting, writing up new project plans, and then kicking off the next day's projects across my 3 Macs in my house wirring on this all day with Opus 5.

Right now it's just a sandbox world. No "game" just layers and layers of systems. Earth scale procedural weather systems (rain, storms, clouds, wind, KpI, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc) which means you can see them coming from the distance and travel across the landscape in a timelapse.

New Launched! 🚀 I’ve been admiring Ranjith and Kamal’s incredible work with Box Box Club for a long time, it was really cool getting into their backstory and all of the cool experiences with F1 they’ve had while building the app over the years 🏎️

"Even if it's getting the legal notice. We were happy that they are using the product." The first time F1 ever contacted Box Box Club, it was a cease-and-desist over the "F1" in the app's name. Ranjith Ramanan and Kamal Kumar took it as a compliment. 🏎️ Full episode link in the comment below 👇

So I've been building the Apple native video editing app of my dreams No projects, no libraries, just drop in files, trim, crop, add AI captions, export and get out. On macOS, iOS, iPadOS and Duo And I'm calling it – against my better judgement – Trimothy TestFlight link👇

Thanks to Apple's pretty incredible on-device Speech Framework, you can create auto-captions super quickly on any device Then edit the text, customize the color, font, outline, shadow, background, and even highlight the current word for some truly... uh... beautiful captions

New app I've been wanting to exist for _forever_ is coming to TestFlight soon 👀 Group chat bullying me to take the branding in a... interesting direction 😅

My favorite metric for a successful @launchedfm.com episode is the amount of laughter in it, and @jagcesar.bsky.social and @fosiadesign.bsky.social served those up in spades 😅 This was such a fun one!

"Could you even build iOS apps with that?" "Nope." César Pinto Castillo said yes to building an iPhone app with no Mac, no iPhone, and no idea what Xcode was — then bought a $150 PowerBook G4 that couldn't compile for iOS. 💻 New Launched with @jagcesar.bsky.social and @fosiadesign.bsky.social 👇

I know we’re all impatiently awaiting the iPhone Duo simulator… but a good starting point is turning on landscape support for your iPhone app and seeing what’s broken

Went ahead and released this so you can start playing with what (static) versions of your app might look like in a folded Duo now while we wait on the proper simulator! apps.apple.com/us/app/framo...

Playing around with dynamic folding of the Duo frame in Framous 👀

this is actually curving at the crease too. Not sure if this matches the curve exactly but it feels close anyway for now. And this works with everything else natively in Framous so shadows, grouping, etc should all #JustWork

Cutting it a bit close, but Dark Noise is ready to go for release on Monday with iOS 27! 🥳 If you're press and looking for apps integrated with the new Siri AI, or implementing the new extra-large widgets, check out my press kit below 👇 Here's how it looks with Siri AI

Ha, rejected for asking for a rating during onboarding which... I don't do?... except it turns out I actually did add a bug that does just that 😅 So... a rare "thank you!" to App Review for catching a bug before I shipped it to customers 🙏

Apps with no tab bar are going to look weird on the Duo with that huge gutter on the side... gonna be tempting to stuff things there just to make it feel less awkward 🤔 (this is the apple music app with the tab bar buttons edited out)

Couldn't ask for a better guest than David for episode 100 🚀 And it's got all the hits! ✅ Creative background (audio production) ✅ Long history on the app store ✅ How to pitch your app (without being annoying) ✅ Extremely long runtime with lots of diversions 🤪

"If I give you this $5k early, by October you're going to need another $5k, and then you're just in the cycle." First app shipped. Apple hadn't paid yet. Dad said no to the bridge loan. So David Barnard sold the Honda Accord. 🚗 Episode 100: www.youtube.com/watch?v=olIJ...

I've been doing a terrible job of actually shipping this year, which means this Framous update actually has quite a bit of goodies on top of the new device frames including video support and this little fun guy
