Hooray for #MockTheWeek They ended as thought politics couldn't get any weirder, and then it did and it's even more bizarre now!

Actual people on customer service is so important and makes a huge difference in fixing problems. I stayed at Moto service stn travelodge last night which had no power for some time. Unable to contact main TL to ask for help/swap/complain or moto apart from online forms. The TL chat won't help as

I've submitted a form so need to wait 5 days for that to be read. Moto have no reply yet. Greggs replied almost ASAP to my message about staff member not letting into the warmer services building with better emergency lighting and apologised and put credit on my app account. Like night and day!

Hooray for Greggs having actual people & a bit a of compassion. Ended up staying in that travelodge (which apparently has regular powercuts) & then the TV died at 2130. Only 1 member of staff and he had limited support and no phone signal to ask for help. I'm hoping TL deal with my praise for him.

Stolen from the ever growing land of internet images but with the way the world is outside and the total drivel encompassing social media, I think this is pretty apt!

Legal people, court specialists... need some advice. Have been sent a jury warning for my local crown court. As interesting as cases can be, as a forensic bod with links to my local police unit, & knowing how hard it is to get cases through to the CPS, last time I was called in S.Wales I was

Excused as I likely knew of the defendant and any of the CSI staff. Going to ring the service tomorrow, but are forensic staff still excused, there aren't many of us in digital, & if that evidence is used, I would know the witness, even though I'm now 'across the border'?

This has been an interesting week. Booked knee replacement which has gone well, but not the best time for #EDS to play up. Local anesthetic didn't work during the spinal block, tendons too soft so GA & other blocks that took 30hrs to fully leave. Extra bending on bendy limbs has been an experience!

Physio update, a bit disappointing, shown as a 'class', so 5 of us, but basically a review of wound & stretch info we were given on the ward. Knee angles measured & to return in 2wks. I've got good bend but still unable to lift. Advised to do one exercise to help that.. will continue with all!

Knee update: ran out of paid sick days so back WFH on reduced hours ensuring I rest, stretch & physio. Still can't lift lower leg from flat position and limited strength to push up on stairs but apart from a wobble, it's getting there. Can walk without crutch, albeit slowly & back on exercise bike!

Catching up with #TheOrville and delight to see both The Doctor and Doctor Phlox in S2.Ep3. With Cassidy Yates as a full time crew member, it's great to see a strong #StarTrek link beyond the obvious. Hooray for Disney showing this as I lost all access years ago when changing tv supplier.

Watching #StarTrek #DS9 S3 Ep11. Chroniton affects transport & Sisko etc end up in 2024. Weird to think we are have past that date, but whilst some aspects are sci-fi, the segregation & spilt of classes is emphasised with a removal of unwanted people to a 'district'. That's more realistic sadly.

Knee update: almost 3 weeks & the wound is healing well, I'm walking with one crutch and have managed most of the bend and lift control, though going down stairs is a bit hairy and I cannot lift my lower leg upwards when lying down but with physio on weds, I'm hoping for a bit of progress on that.

Watching Crime Scene Cleaners on C4, goggles and a decent mask please for dealing with any dried blood, not just on the roof!! That car needs a new interior, and it's a murder car, who wants to rent that...

As much as I hate cold wet windy weather, I hate this British humid summer even more. Thankfully once I manage to get outside, my local pub has a cold toilet so I'm going to hide in there for a bit! I have no aircon in my car so dreading commutes next week... Hooray it's only for a few days!

Time for #RaceAcrossTheWorld China this time so looking forward to some wonderful scenery. Does remind you of how big some countries are.

Watching some old Endeavours, Thursday really did have some great lines: 'As fraudulent as the bearded lady in the circus with glue running down her chin'..

It's a rugby day! Pretty certain the blues are going to triumph in both matches but for loyalty's sake, come on Wales!!! #SixNations #Cymru #Pub

Watching Saturday Kitchen Best Bites and they choose to repeat the one with Liz Carr going on a woman's march protesting on the day before the first Trump inauguration. (Jan 17) Top job programmers, though how has it been 8 years since the first nightmare of Trump!!?
