CHARR!

Defenders (2021) by Ewing / Rodríguez Rodríguez is just a master at his craft. Beautiful compositions only heightened by Ewing's script brings the book to life. Fun characters and crazy scenarios make it an unforgettable ride. More Defenders / more of this duo! "There are no rules." 9/10 #comicsky

starting DEFENDERS by @alewingpromotes.bsky.social and @javierrodriguez.bsky.social on the bus. how have I never read anything by this duo before? excited! #comicsky

Black Bolt (2018) by Ahmed / Ward A beautiful book: powerful, yet broken man seeking connection again. You cannot choose your upbringing, but you CAN grow past it. Quiet narration juxtaposed colorful art work fantastically, Ward truly knocks it out here. "He will answer with love." 9/10 #comicsky

Assorted Crisis Events vol. 2 (2026) by Camp / Zawadzki They continue their great work telling and showing some of the best (and often worst) of us. Heartfelt messaging on dementia, to a great comic-life analogy, to the dreads of capitalism, it has it all. "treachery = money" 10/10 #comicsky

Inhumans (1998) by Jenkins / Lee An awesome book showing the struggles of society and the burden on leadership. Insanely clever, superbly drawn, and each story a timeless look at struggles we still face. Black Bolt, Medusa, and Karnak were highlights. COOKING! "What would you say?" 9/10 #comicsky
