Information Technology is my thing.. building SaaS on the side but sticking to the 9 to 5 is fine with me. Too much to learn and do, too little time. Family is no. 1.

AI causes panic by deploying patches for vulnerabilities no one knows how to exploit. It's a crazy world we live in.

AI agents require API connections and keys under the hood. Is the rush to AI automation creating new security risks?

It's great to say you're an early adopter of AI.. but bombarding staff with more emails, alerts, and AI content that no one is going to read will not solve anything.

The AI frontier labs are forcing our hands like no one's business, and I believe they are the real risk. We used to have 'Ask' and 'Agent' modes in GitHub copilot. They quietly made Agent the default option, and now they entirely did away with Ask mode. I can't be the only one bothered by this.

AI user interfaces can use some improvements. I hate that you can't navigate to prior prompts within a chat.

So Google is renaming 'Gems' to 'Skills'. Hard to keep up with the AI evolution, but the bottom line is we should assign our AI chatbots a persona before or when we prompt.

We overstate #AI productivity gains. Agents will uncover many bullshit jobs and humans will continue to do the minimum to get by. AI tools will make productive people more productive and lazy people more lazy.

Did you know it only takes a few thousand votes to elect someone into Congress? Turnout in primaries is so low. Then we all head to the general election and act like we have a choice.

AI content is plagiarism. We fell for all the "generative" bullshit. We've been wanting to cheat so badly that we run an algorithm on other people's work and call it our own.

The problem is not that AI is replacing humans. The problem is that we have started to become less human long before AI arrived. Productivity hacks, tracking devices, agendas.. we forget to just be ourselves.

Refusing to do something that is socially accepted or even encouraged can be very isolating. Be true to yourself. See it as a secret super power.

We're heading towards extinction faster than I thought

This dog rescue had a slumber party night where volunteers got to sleep with a dog up for adoption! This is the kind of place I’d donate my time and money to. Slumber Pawty! 🐾

Because of AI, I don't know if I'll ever write a complete document, paper, or article on my own again. There's no incentive to do the work.
