What a concept is right. IMHO, it's time for the old guards to retire. The polite and courteous old school politics are a thing of the past. Bringing strongly worded letters/statements to a gunfight clearly accomplishes nothing.🙄

This sums it up perfectly.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

With everyone obsessing over a handful of DSA candidates, the broader trend that might be getting missed across the country is that lots of Dem primary voters seem to have decided it is time for a new generation of younger nominees in lots of places.

Texas was a democratic state for 100 years before being gerrymandered by republicans for the last 30 years. Don’t under estimate the spirit of the people in Texas. Doomsayers have no place in our elections or the political discussion.

Taylor Swift and her besties showing up at Game 4 of the NBA finals Knicks/Spurs game with her besties wearing t-shirts: “Stevie Knicks,” “Knickleback” and “Knickole Kidman” is the fun we all need to be having! 💙

The Tony Awards have been the gift that keeps on giving tonight. So fun, so real and inspirational. More importantly, how do we move them from CBS who doesn’t deserve the ratings. Bari Weiss and her team are the opposite of goodness.

Wait, not only are musical artists backing out of the 250th celebration but UFC fighters are also….and gay men are now purchasing tickets to show up in full fun Village People and drag attire. I love it for DJT on so many levels.

Ossoff: Moving to the top of the list for 2028.

Acyn@acyn.bsky.social

Ossoff: The president promised to fight for the working class and end foreign wars. Instead, he cut your healthcare to give the rich another tax break and last week yet more Americans were wounded in a war no one voted for and no one can explain

100% This.

Rather than conclude that democrats are bad because people like Fetterman and Polis are democrats, I prefer to conclude that people like Fetterman and Polis are not democrats and they need to get the hell out of our party.

This is important. Don’t let them bury the Epstein files.

Adam Kinzinger@adamkinzinger.substack.com

While everyone's watching Hormuz, the Epstein files are being buried. The law says release them. Trump is fighting it. Massie may lose his seat Tuesday for pushing it. And now a $1.7B slush fund for Jan 6 defendants? Don't go quiet. open.substack.com/pub/adamkinz...

"Democratic governors and state legislators need to realize that this is no longer about fairness; it’s about fighting back so that they are not engineered out of the House forever. And I get that Dems don’t have the stomach for this kind of warfare--- find it."

Republican leaders need to be put in time out for 50+ years. It was 30+ years after the Great Depression before Americans trusted/voted for Republicans again. This shitski adds an immediate +20 onto the original 30+ years in time out if not indefinitely.

The NYC reading room is a library of all 3.5 million pages of Epstein-related records released by the DOJ earlier this year, compiled into more than 3,700 individual volumes Draped in the middle is a room filled w/ 1,000 candles for the victims. Incredible. These young girls deserve justice.

Exactly this.

Buttiigieg: "Look, when you are this deep into your second year, if your reflex is to still be trying to blame the previous administration, it really shows that you are out of ideas, out of solutions, and unwilling to take ownership of your own choices."

This, 100%.

I feel the same way about AI as I do about the internet—both could be incredibly valuable contributions to society if they’re managed for the public good. In the hands of fascist tech billionaires, they’re a threat the civilization. It’s not the tech, it’s the ownership structure.

The administration that normalized cruelty is now demanding a talk show host be fired for a joke. This isn't a stand against toxicity, it’s an authoritarian attempt to label all mockery of the President as "hate speech." They’re banking on you forgetting their last decade of vitriol. Don't.

@CNN, Breaking News. We’re still at War with Iran, the global economy is in a downward spiral spin, gas prices are rising, the Epstein files have not been released and no one was hurt on Saturday.

I’m listening to seasoned reporters talk about how frightened they were during the shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner last night and imagining how much worse it is for America’s children. If there’s ever been a time to pass sensible gun control laws, it’s now.

Kevin Warsh just lost me. He argues he's going to be an independent Fed Chair, but refuses to acknowledge that Trump lost the 2020 election. If you can't state simple facts when you're in the political spotlight, you aren't independent. You're a coward.

Have been wondering when candidates would start talking about this. One of the biggest corruption scandals is U.S. history playing out in real time.

The Tennessee Holler @thetnholler.bsky.social

🔥SEN. @ossoff.senate.gov : “Ivanka’s husband Jared Kushner’s on the Saudi payroll for $2 BILLION— as he leads 🇺🇸 diplomacy + asks sheikhs for billions more… Never have we seen so little effort to hide so much corruption. The Mar-a-Lago mafia taking corruption to spectacular new heights.”

I am old enough to remember when a photograph of Gary Hart was taken with a woman sitting on his lap while on a yacht called “Monkey Business” was enough for a a candidate to realize he needed to drop out of the race.

I’m just a citizen who cares about our country and my fellow Americans and friends across the world. It would also be nice if mainstream media would report the facts and admit that the U.S. president is out of his F-ing mind.

So, we’re still counting on Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner (who got us into this mess for their financial gain) to solve the Iran War…said no one in their right mind ever.

Exactly this.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

The biggest story in the world right now is that the president of the United States is a demented old man who takes pleasure in torturing and killing people and is committing crimes with impunity. And yet most legacy media outlets are too cowardly to tell it like it is.

It’s time.

Jim Naughton @jimnaughton.bsky.social

It’s worth saying, in the wake of Trump’s bizarre and vicious Easter morning tweet, that the Republican Party could have him out of office by the end of the day. This is on his cabinet and every Republican member of Congress.

Hey media-- Pam Bondi is not a victim -- she willingly carried out Trump's political agenda to prosecute his political enemies and undermine free and fair elections. Todd Blache is not shouldering a "burden" or "walking a tightrope." He is a willing accomplice. Language matters.

Americans have taken our democracy for granted. Our grandparents survived WWII, our parents tried to make life better for us. Ronald Reagan created triple down economics. There’s a reason smart people are rising up against DJT and this corrupt administration. We’re living in their broken promises.
