how the fuck am I so good at predicting these things within days? i called it when Yamaha/Steinberg made VST3 and ASIO open source, the max for live site went down for days after i critiqued it, I predicted producer crashouts, etc. which god did I piss off to become the pro audio industry Cassandra?

remember that time Behringer released a shitty VST synth nobody wanted? i'm kind of surprised now that they haven't gone crazy with AI generated crap plugins. vibe coding is such garbage that even behringer won't touch it lmao

oh no. the robins have arrived. you'd think that the year-round screaming of the steller's jays or the piercing calls of the northern flickers would be annoying, but I honestly love it. But the robins. The robins in the cold seasons make so much fucking noise at every hour of every day for months

incidentally, i've had 3 instant crashes to desktop tonight when simply touching a parameter on different max for live devices. they're out to get me, i swear

from the studio who brought you I Dropped My Pick in the Guitar comes an all-new horror roguelike puzzle experience: I Dropped a Presser Foot in the Sewing Machine. Preorder now and receive the upcoming DLC, My Needle is Still Crashing into the Bobbin Case, for FREE!

My arm is super tense and in a lot of pain from spending a very long time turning the hand crank knob on the side of that sewing machine to troubleshoot it. I must make a point of not doing that ever again

i've never used the kief from the catcher in my old grinder and there's gotta be like 12 year old dust in there at minimum. one day i'm gonna cash out and travel back to the bronze age or simply drop dead where i stand

i had an "aha!" moment recently where I was listening to the best ever Talking Heads track, Born Under Punches, and when it got to the highly processed guitar solo that always baffled me, I instantly realized it was the Lexicon Prime Time. I'm surprised nobody's made a pedal of it yet. I want that.

I wonder how hard it would be to make a similar thing with Pure Data so it could be embedded on a little microprocessor board. I don't care about a faithful emulation, just the immediacy of those fun multiplier knobs

when it came out everyone immediately clocked it as a clone of Ableton's Analog device, but the first thing I noticed is the design language is 100% Tone2. what a funny thing that was

I let my guard down for one fucking second with a plugin that smells strongly of vibe coding but the creator says he doesn't vibe code...

I know it's probably a nitpick to care about extra digits not even present on the plugin interface, but like, that's three more decimals than even airwindows plugins show in Ableton's parameter view, and the push truncates them down to the hundredths just fine

every time i listen to this lovely album i go slightly mad again trying to figure out what the fuck that ball in the bottom right corner is. i'ts been bugging me for YEARS. acorn? plant pot? one of those balls they put up on power lines to keep helicopters from roosting on them?? please help me

would anyone be interested in meeting up at Slightly Furry tonight? debating if I want to go to the show tonight or just meet friends at a bar if anyone's available. i'm having a party later so i'm not expecting any actual turnout last minute like this

anyone here tried out AnyType? just heard about it recently, referred to as like a middle point between Notion and Obsidian. I've used Obsidian for years, but manually linking and structuring notes is tedious and i've neglected to do it so my vault is a mess. maybe this would be better for me

this edition of the album on my all-time favorite record label, Earstroke, so I assume that's how I found it, but I know nothing of the artist. And it looks like I ordered the CD when I bought it, but accidentally shipped it to my place that burned down two years prior. damn!

the AI firmware losers have cooked up the ultimate temptation for me with an emulation of the Korg MS-2000R, my favorite piece of hardware I've ever owned. but i'm not gonna touch this tainted abomination

MAN, yesterday I found out Tyondai Braxton at Vera Project tonight but I don't think I can make it. Someone go experience it for me please

me using the vocoder on my microfreak: I don't freak unless froken to

nobody's asking why Arturia just released a bigger version of the MiniFreak and just called it the Minifreak 49 instead of just the Freak. They'd still have plenty of room for MegaFreaks, etc.

finally started watching The Rehearsal, and it's surprisingly less difficult for me to watch than Nathan For You. And little does my wife know, watching The Rehearsal with her is itself a rehearsal for making her watch Nirvanna the Band the Show with me

a friend took me to Aroom the other day and I had a vietnamese coffee that changed my life. and now i'm thinking of getting into yet another way of making coffee as if somehow this time i'll really master it and stick with it for sure

That piece was recorded live at the famous One Second Club in 1944. It was inspired by the clarity of consciousness rather than the vividness of dream and was the self proclaimed pinnacle of broken bridges and chest pressure.
