A number of great discussions with artists at the #EFNW artist alley reminded me of some really cool emails I got about DT3 in particular. I'd like to mention two of them. The first was how DT3 inspired him and that one person created it. Granted DT3 is a fan/sprite rip game, but I understood.

Kyoto Xanadu cleared. While I liked the characters all the way, the actual plot kind of ended with a whimper... probably enjoyed chapter 4 the most even though it was mostly predictable. The gameplay is mostly fun, but even on Asura it's not particularly hard. The consequences of having a parry.

There's an interesting and obvious thing about making a game as difficult as DT4, and that's testing it. I have a rule that I must be able to flawless (no hit) everything before I send anything to the testers. (1/3)

A bunch of games I'm interested in come out at the end of the month, so now I'm stuck in choice paralysis hell of what to play in the interim new Savage UBF fight on Friday, at least

Easily my favorite game I played this month. Having played through the entire Lufia series a couple years ago, it was nice to be rewarded with a true followup to Lufia II.

27. Lufia V: For the Savior Clear time: 28h 25m Who would have thought that someone would spend 20 years making a conclusion to the Lufia series, and that it would actually be really good? Genuinely impressive game. backloggd.com/u/ChillGuy/r...

Tearscape being kind of mid put me in the mood to play a good Zeldalike, though I haven't really been impressed with most of the indie ones I've played. Maybe it's finally time to play Parallel Worlds...

Finally eked out a solo Lunar clear of the Rabbit and Steel DLC, after choking to the final boss like 5 times. Maybe I've just gotten better, but it definitely felt a lot more manageable than the base game. Overall, excellent stuff.

I was hoping Parasite Eve II would be an improvement on the original systems, but instead it feels like a completely different game... I don't think I'll ever enjoy using tank controls.
